Horner will be putting on the charm offensive bigtime.

Can't see the owner being happy about that. He'd eat Vettel alive. If he continues to rip into the stewards and generally being a pain in the knackers he could end up in the states. I can't belive he said that. Really can't.

Don't be so sure. Vettel has moved onto another level this year. I think it would be very close. It would be pretty awesome to see.

I think Vettel gets a bit of a rough ride really. It's not just the car.

If RB had the chance to grab Ham I'm sure they'd do it. TBH it doesn't make sense to create another Senna/Prost situation but I'm sure they would go for it.

I wonder if they'd really want him though, Vettel is doing brilliantly and seems the perfect driver for them. Webber gets results week in week out and can win, he has a moan at times but he's not criticising the team every week, do you really want to upset a winning combination.

Webber won't last forever though, although didn't he sign a new contract recently? I know Alonso did and I remember Webber mentioning they were planning on discussing it after the race prior to this weeks.

I don't think any thing has been done for next season yet with Webber, but why upset something that works. Also they have their driver program, would have though their preference would be to bring someone in through that and having Vettel makes that a bit easier to do.

Lewis was joking with the Ali G comment!!

I think his frustration is coming from him trying to overtake and drivers knowing they can chop you off and the overtaker will get punished - either with a broken nose and/or a drive thru. His frustration no doubt stems from his driving style but in years gone by the likes of Senna and Schumacher would not have been punished for those moves and 'lesser' drivers wouldnt have dared turned in!

However given all that he still is putting himself in those situations through frustration and then winding himself up even more with the predictable outcome, i wouldn't want him to change one bit tho!

As for Vettel, i agree he is driving on a higher level than last year but he clearly has a far quicker car and the rub of the green at the moment - leading from the front is his forte and he is maximising this with some great qualifying performances - i still think Alonso, Hamilton and maybe Button are better all round drivers for differing reasons. He is no chump that's for sure!

To be honest, I don't really care what Lewis said, I'm actually kinda glad he said it. It's what he felt, right or wrong, and he said it out loud rather than kept it in his head. I'm sick of hearing press-release style comments from teams and drivers, when it's clear that their body language is often saying very different things.

There's too much pressure from sponsors and money men to keep their drives clean cut and family friendly, but in truth these guys are passionate racers and have personal thoughts and opinions. In some way Lewis' outburst could be put down to having his mouth zipped for so long that his top has blown.

I was actually more offended by Horner and Vettel's tiring prescribed speech of "Championship Drive" "Thanks to the team" blah blah.

Lewis was joking with the Ali G comment!!

Think it, insinuate it, but never ever say it. Joking or otherwise he's now painted a big fuck off sized target on his back that the world and his dog at the FIA will be keen to rip into.

In the past I think he has been on the recieving end of some poor decisions from the stewards, yesterdays qualiy 3 random ban hammer offering being a prize example. Today he drove like a tit. Massa only hit webber cause lewis had stuffed into him in the first place.

I think he has just been frustrated with the team, himself and the FIA so just lost it slightly - he has a FIA target so nothing to lose really and it just reminds me of the prem league managers this season who are just fed up with constant shit decisions and would rather get the fine for an outburst than tow the line!

Still i would much rather Lewi's outburst than Vettel's fucking frog outburst

Lewis would earn some respect if "losing his clean cut image" wasn't him saying the sort of thing a year 7 might say to a supply teacher as they got sent out of the room. That whole interview was cringeworthy and more shameful than his "overtaking" today, hopefully some of JBs class will rub off on him.

Lewis is pissed!

"Maybe because I'm black!"

FFFFUUUUUUU!

He'll get a slap from Mclaren & maybe the FIA for that!

Wow! I won't have time to watch the whole Forum before work - how far in do I need to go to see that interview?

Er, sorry to pick on this - your post was excellent - but the only time Vettel led the championship last season, was the day he won it. I wouldn't say it's his forte just yet, but you're right in that he's doing a damn good job of it.

I meant more races than championships, really last year he should have won it by a country mile but for initial reliability, unforced errors/accidents and finally Mclaren/Ferrari closing in on Redbull performance - it was clear they had the best car all year just not driver. This year i would say the RB has a bigger advantage over Mclaren/Ferrari and Vettel is doing a good job but there has been no real pressure to really tell if he is a better driver or he has better luck, reliability or team mate not hitting him so much ;)
