Well, Hamilton was given a penalty after Massa crashed out - but I thought that was strange too, so I guess two wrongs don't make a right but no one else seemed to care about Hamilton's drive-through earlier...

I wasn't posting on the forum at the time but do agree thats an odd decision too.

Given the choice between definite third or definite 1st, 2nd or 3rd - you take the latter surely?

Oh yeah - they had to try it. They had a 1 lap window to pit Vettel - if they had he would have made it out in front. But he didn't which forced them to try it & stay out.

I was amazed they didn't bring him in.

Red Bull.

I think Ted the Pit Bloke ruled that out. He called it as Seb coming in then after the confusion said it was definitely the right tyres, as they'd had Sebs name on them that's how he knew it was him.

Obviously a fuck up though. Webber looked mighty pissed off about it.

That might be what they told Ted at the time, but Horner said after the race that they put the wrong tyres on. He may not mean the wrong persons tyres, but the wrong type.

That's exactly what they mean, because if they put Mark's tyres on that's an instant DQ. Not a penalty, a straight, unarguable black flag.

I can tell you why the stewards look at you Lewis, it's cause you crashed into people like a fanny. The last one after the restart was a complete joke.

I think he made the same move on Schumacher earlier? In that case Schumi left room and both drivers got high praise.

Only seen the replay once but Maldonado looked like he was going very slow and opening himself up to be taken. I don't think it's clear cut, racing incident mostly likely I'd have thought.

Both were a joke really, Massa didn't turn in early at all, Hamilton's just whining like a bitch today.

We haven't seen whether he did have we?

Only the hairpin and next corner, then the shot from the tunnel

Edit: Ah I see they meant the hairpin, I thought they were referring to the corner before the tunnel. We still haven't seen the onboard of the crash in the tunnel, why not!

It's the hairpin that Hamilton was on about

"I put my car there, he turned in way too early, and we stuck"

Conveniently ignoring that Massa didn't turn in early. Also, and Hamilton probably isn't aware of this, but Massa was sandwhiched.

I don't agree with the penalty though, it was a racing incident at the end of the day, and as has been pointed out the FIA and the fans want to see drivers having a go, but when they do and it backfires they're punished. Did the clash with Hamilton result in Massa retiring? No, he retired shortly after by taking the wrong line through the tunnel.
