probably just Caterham Cosworth TBH.

I see this as Fernades covering himself against the forthcoming legal battle against evil (renault) lotus.

He should be the bigger man & just drop Lotus. It's getting old now. Amazed Mr E hasn't stepped in to bash heads together and sort it out.

I think the original plan was to launch the caterham brand this year, get that up and running then ask the Malaysian government if they could take over the running of the Lotus brand in the UK and build it all up. Then Behr stepped in and cancelled all the deals on the table and started making Indy engines and GTE cars for le Mans and loads of other stuff, flicked the Vs at Fernadez and called him a fat tosser.

I hope Fernandez stuffs the malaysians heads down the toilet and gets to keep his Lotus brand. I Like what he's done, they've been far more professional than Virgin after all.

Surely like the BMW Ferrari Sauber saga of last year it's against the regs to change your team name after it's been submitted? So he could peel off all the Lotus branding the cars and garage kit and put a Caterham sticky label over the top but 'Team Lotus Cosworth' is still going to be all over the onscreen graphics etc.

As I understand it they can change at any time if they get the consent of all the other teams. The problem comes with getting everyone to consent AND allow the team to still pick up their TV money earned from the year before. That's the main reason name changes happen in the off season.

Everyone in F1 wants something in return for their co operation, turning what should be a formality into a right arse on.

Proper OMG!!! I've just been emailed the details of the Senna screening for next week.

Intro from James Allen & Jackie fucking Stewart! :omg:

Q&A with James Allen, Asif Kapadia & Manish Pandey. Other speakers include Jackie Stewart & Martin Brundle.

SNAP!

Excited! Slightly surprised (but delighted) at Jackie Stewart's involvement - so far as I know he only appears briefly in the film, on the wrong end of a lecture about 'racing mentality' from Ayrton...

Gonna have to bail on any chance of meeting for a pint beforehand I'm afraid, I have to rush straight from work and get there with minutes to spare!

Good move. I like Michael, but did just didn't work out, they needed to do something. Expect him to go somewhere like Virgin, make them start using wind tunnels & all of a sudden there beating Force India's.

Hopefully this will be the change they need and they certainly needed to do something. So far it's looking like this season will be like so many recently, plenty of promise and hype pre-season then fail to live up to any of it.

Williams are just one of those teams I want to see do well and get back up to the top, nothing but admiration for Sir Frank.

Yeah, same here. F1 really needs Williams and although I don't support anyone and hence have no team I particularly enjoy/hate seeing to badly to an extent (well... Ferrari struggling amuses me from time to time), I do feel bad about seeing Williams down there. Given what Frank went through with Piers Courage, his years of effectively trading out of a phone box and then his car accident he deserves every moment of success he gets.
