So it looks like Codies won't have to fiddle with F1 2011 too much, Petrov being up there was always a bug but it looks like they were just making the game futureproof.

lol at DC running all the way from the commentary box for nothing.

Edit: OMG they got Sean Bean to do that little voiceover!!

I really do fear (and I know it's early to say this) but Vettel could (and should) have this wrapped up by August. He appears be a lot calmer after his first Championship and his car is clearly a class above the rest.

His car is the same as Webber's and is served by a non-exclusive engine. Obviously Newey's genius is at work but you can't define a result by one engineer. He's simply the fastest driver out there and seems to cope better than even Lewis did despite being younger. I feel sorry for Vettel in a way, in a few years he'll have won several titles and people will inevitably be calling him the new Schumacher. And, like Schumacher, they'll forget how unbelievably fast he actually was even when paired with a supposedly inferior car.

I really believe it would be better if they should get rid of KERS and DRS and go back to turbos. DRS is only used by the driver behind, essentially allowing an 'all or nothing' approach to overtaking - there is no point to defend against someone on DRS, whereas before it was a lot more closer.

KERS meanwhile is just terrible. There are obvious points when most drivers will use it i.e. accelerating from a corner, or when a car is about to overtake them. It hinders overtaking and is predictable - you know every driver has the same amount of KERS at the start of every lap, and naturally they will use it at key points on the track with maybe a bit in reserve for preventing overtakes. Whereas if they used turbos it would be driver defined and finite - they would only use it at key, irregular moments in the race.

It's all getting a bit risque on the forum.

I don't think it's nearly so clear cut. We've seen today that DRS doesn't necessarily equate to an instant win button, although that's bound to change depending on the length of the DRS zone and the character of the corner preceeding it. I'm not sure that it'll be pointless to try and defend against a driver using DRS either. The defending driver still has the opportunity to make his move and hold the racing line.

On a completely separate note, Perez looks about 15 years old.

I just watched the last 10 on iplayer. Is it just me or was there a bit of friction with Hamilton and vettel? No shaking of hands or congratulating each other. They pretty much ignored each other at the end of the race.
