Me too! Result!

Thanks so much for the heads-up. I must have just finished checking the JAF1 site before this was posted.

wicked, we'll have to grab a beer. Can't wait for the Q&A & special guests. I didn't even bother to mention it to the mrs. I want a full on F1 geek off.

We'll definitely grab a beer! I work nearby and will have about an hour to kill before the screening.

Are you 'just a fan' on F1 Technical? I don't post there, just lurk, and noticed some of your posts are slightly identical...

I lurk, stolen a couple of posts off there, but usual try to remember to credit them.

Is there any agreement as to the rules for using the adjustable wing yet? Last I read it sounded crazy - only within identified areas of track within 1 sec of the car in front or something daft.

You can use it anytime/anywhere in free practice and qualifying so expect some really banzai qualifying.

During the race you will only be able to use it in the "passing zone" which will be an area at the end of a straight of a few hundred meters. For the wing to be activated, you will have to be within one second of the car in front during a monitored zone (likely to be entry to corner prior to straight).

I believe the ARW can't be used on the first lap of the race.

Expect them to tweak the rules, regulations, timings etc a lot over the first half of the season in order to balance it.

I wonder how it will work in relation to KERS, if you've got someone close behind it makes sense to save it until near the passing zone, at which point I guess the driver who is following will use theirs nullifying the point of KERS or has used it up to get close which means they can't use the ARW now. It's all gimmicky bollocks, I never liked KERS, wish it hadn't come back and just don't like the concept of push to pass, it's fake racing.

WTF! Is my brain playing tricks on me or did I really see Jenson Button in a cheesy Head & Shoulders ad?

Yeah saw that, awful and only Head & Shoulders, guess he's just not worth it unlike Schumacher.

I don't think you can talk F1 drivers in adverts without posting Mark Webber again.

This has to be one of the best advert with F1 drivers though.

Then when they do the clever the and focus on the cars you get this, the sound especially the 312B (No.4).
