It’s an interesting view of the drivers where one is leading from the car telling his engineers what the score is, the other needs the team to tell him what to do, not having the confidence to say “no we’ll do it my way”.

Although Hamilton being told when to pit for tires doesn't even begin to compare with Massa's race engineer telling him how to drive! Telling him to not to get on the power so early on the last corner as that would mean he could get out of the corner better and make it harder for him to be overtaken :quote: . Martin Brundle was incredulous.

Hamilton moaning over the radio isn't any different to Button doing the exact same thing last year.

Slightly different in my book. Button was complaing that the car had gone from being ace to shit, Hamilton was complaining that the team had fucked up his race.

Malaysia..

I think this is going to as dull as Bahrain. If it rains in qualifying than that might mix it up, if it’s dry then it’ll be the usual suspects up front and you won’t need to watch the middle of the race. Rain will spice things up as long as it doesn’t rain like last year, then there won’t be a middle of the race.

It's a bit sad when you have to hope for rain to make it interesting, but I agree with this. Add to the fact that the next GP after that is China and we could see the F1 Circus going into the mode of "shit- we need to make this more interesting" by the end of April!

I wonder if South Korea will be just as dull as the other Tilke circuits? At least it's at the end of the year...

My vote is, and always will be, Hungary.

Hungary is Spa in comparison to Valencia. It's always been my least favourite GP but there are at least a few interesting corners to watch and the races haven't been quite as bad recently. Valencia is just mind numbingly shit, race is awful, location is awful and I don't think I could describe any corners or anything about the track, apart from all the concrete walls. There is nothing worthy of note about it, well unless you're Bernie's accountant. :(

They should bring back the Mexican GP. The last (Peralta?) curve onto the straight seemed impossible...

Senna, upside down after going over one the bumps?

Back in the day. Blah blah, jumpers for goalposts, pre-quailfying on friday, early bath etc etc...

the circuit i most want to see the back of is valencia. Shit heap.

At least the scenery in Valencia is nice (the bridge and water mainly). The desert tracks lack even vegetation which makes it look sterile and due to the poor sd quality on the tv makes it look like an n64 game at times.

Be fair, look at those cranes and the dockyard. How can you get better than racing around an industrial estate connected to a dockyard and not just any dockyard either, the one the America's Cup teams are based in. :) It really is awful and being lined with those walls and fences make it even worse, the bridge just ended up looking like the rest of the track. Valencia last year was the first race I ever thought why am I watching this, there's a million things more exciting I can be doing rather than watch this crap.

Apparently because of it being Easter the race will be split into half on the BBC - from 8am onwards (race start 9am) BBC 1 will cover it, then at 9.55am it moves onto BBC 2. Wonderful!

That's not the mad bit, the forum's on at 9am! They must be expecting it to be rained off

I concur. It was pants last year, another circuit where it's nigh on impossible to work out where they are on the track unless they're either going over the bridge or the start finish straight. Alot like Bahrain in that respect, and a few other tracks which share an utter passion for being massive car parks with a few white lines painted on them.

i work most weekends, so have to go on media blackout's until i get home :P

Ouch. I hate it when that happens - especially when you've avoided all media contact for 24hrs for your someone to ruin it for you just as you sit down to watch it.
