Whitmarsh said the drivers need to be 3 seconds a lap faster to over take anyone. Something that just doesn't happen in the top half of the grid.

I think Malyasia will be just like Bahrain. Unless it rains, then we'll have a race. But as long as the fastest car is at the front of the grid on Sunday afternoon, we're not going to get a whole lot of overtaking. Slower cars on Saturday, don't get a lot faster as the lights go out on Sunday.

And is anyone else beginning to think that Button's girlfriend is starting to grate now, much like Hammy's did with her jumping around in the pits all the time? Her shallow cheeriness is freakish.

Also that's bollocks that Webber gets away with a written warning. McLaren doing it to someone else = 10 grid place drop, same for anyone doing it to a Ferrari. If Hamilton had shunted Alonso he would have been black flagged and been forced to start at the back at Malaysia.

Just watched the 10 minutes of highlights of the BBC website. Looks like I missed a good race, hope Hamilton can keep that pace up all season. He looked fantastic. Not much mention of Schumacher on the highlights, he is never gonna challenge for the front is he?

Now to change my fantasy race thingy racers. Schumacher is out.

So to make races more interesting Bernie and probably the overtaking committee already preparing a job offer...

Looking for rainmaker, forecast ability max 30min :)

Edit: Good race, aye. Same as Pete: watched a whole race in ages

Hamilton is slowly becoming a winy bollix! Giving out to his team over the radio and all this other shit, he just seems incapable of dealing with pressure. He has had his career handed to him on a silver spoon and if it doesnt go well he blames everyone around him.

I wasn't impressed with him yesterday, he did drive the wheels off the car, but it smacks of hime being bigger than the team. If Button starts to own him, I don't think he'll deal with it very well and Mclaren will offload him into the real world.

People will forget about it. Just knee-jerk reactions.

We had one boring race and everyone sounded the death knell for the 2010 season

Button beats Hamilton once (despite Hamilton driving quicker) and everyone says Hamilton's lost it

Good piece on it by James Allen. I agree that the problem really is Hamilton still relying on the team to make these decisions, heard an interesting interview with Button on the radio yesterday along the lines of, end of the day it's the driver out there on the tyres and he's the one best placed to make the call. Be interesting to see how this develops over the season, it's clear tyre management and strategy will be crucial and Button does seem best placed there. Mistakes will inevitably be made by both sides, I'd guess Button would take responsibility there, but you wonder how the team will react to Hamilton if he keeps on relying on the team to make the decisions and blaming them for any bad ones.
