Well I just pointed out to the scary wife that the first race of the sason was on Mothers day this year ..... there is now a definate icey chill to the house this evening. I suspect there will be no rumpy pumpy in Bob's houshold tonight

Curse you Todt, curse you to hell.

Yep.

Rear wheel drive and has a V8 engine though, so pretty radical difference beyond the aesthetics!

Yeah they ran one at Silverstone last year, it broke down about half way round.

So glad there's still at least 1 Corvette in there still looking at the photo, and the screaming Lambos are back!

You'd rather watch F1 than fuck your mum? Disgraceful, grounds for divorce.

I was in hot water with my mum even before I told her that I was also going to watch a rally in Wales that day...

The Ferrari wheels are some workaround for the ban on spinners this year. Not seen pictures of them before.

There have been pictures of some kind of snorkel on the McLaren's nose that some have rumoured to be controlled by the driver's knee. They think that using it can stall the rear wing reducing downforce on straights...

Oh bugger, Mum's getting let down then

I'm pretty lucky - my mum, dad and sister are all into F1 so Mothers Day is a trip home to enjoy the first race of the season together :) Plus my mum gets to celebrate by cooking us all a lovely big roast afterwards :)

Well my mother is on holiday at the moment, and will be for mothers day. My Wife (mother to my son) will be home and unhappy as i'm going to be planted in front of the TV all weekend. With no intention what so ever to go to a garden centre/stately garden and or crappy tea room.

She gets to do it with an bored 5 year old on her own.

nice and quite for me ... win-win. hurrah

It got a lot of praise for the handling, even from Eurogamer. You can definitely play it with nunchuck for analog steering & throttle, also supports the Logitech wheel

The day I start listening to Eurogamer about anything is the day I throw myself off a bridge.

Regardless though maybe I'll rent it again and give it a punt thanks to you and Moora.

Still looking forward to a version on a proper machine this year though :)

You are me and I claim my £5.

Except that's a brother not a sister. I know he's pretty girly but really...

I did have a free copy but it's gone elsewhere.

I'm interested to see the next one too, I'm not expecting it until autumn but I'm still curious why they haven't shown any of it. I'd have thought with Gavin leaving marketing would have the run of the place.

It's Mother's Day in the UK, which celebrates the holiday during Lent. The US Mother's Day is the second Sunday in May...

Americans don't know what Formula 1 is

(I know this from trying to watch it in LA) Slightly mind boggling as there was a Ferrari shop in Macy's that had a full-size F1 car model in it

Some of them do. I saw the final race of 2008 in a packed bar in New York, where pretty much everyone was decked out in either full McLaren or Ferrari gear. Particularly amazing atmosphere at the end, with the championship changing hands at the last second.

Maybe it's just Californians, I must've rung every sports bar in LA and not one of them even knew what "Formula 1" was, a couple had Speed TV but wouldn't show it.

In San Francisco I found one tiny bar out of town that was showing it, was full of Canadians :)
