It's been said by a few guys on here, but why the hell weren't prodrive given one of the free slots? You've got to really think about Bernie's judgement, sometimes- yeah, he's a billionaire and has managed to build up F1 to what it is, but some of these decisions are baffling. Does he really hate Dave Richards that much?

Basically, Bernie told Dave Richards he had to use Cosworth engines, DR told him, 'I run my team not you, fuck off'. Hence no entry.

The Yanks where what started the new teams gig. They always had a slot on the grid becuase they were the first to ask.

Campos and Manor (Virgin) are the one that took the slots from Prodrive and Lola. The Americans had the longesrt headstart and the the most amount of money at the start of all of this. They've fucked it up all on their lonesome. Campos kind of got shafted by the sudden rule change and Manor were lucky with the Virgin money.

But it's been a shower of shit from day 1 with much back slapping and funny handshakes in dark alley ways. The FIA have much to answer for. Max especially and Bernie to a degree. For example the due dilligence check that was done by the FIA before christmas, said the Yanks were all fine and dandy. Does this mean the Yanks were lying, the FIA inspectors were inept or the FIA lied about the results.

Why when Lola have an F1 car built and ready to roll did Stefan GP suddenly get boasted to "next entry on the list" ?

Bring back grey hair Damon in a Campos/other and pair up him with Mansell. The old geezers against the kids.

And then he goes and promotes Genii to take over Renault, instead of Prodrive. The same consotrium he attempted to buy Saab in conjunction with.

I'm honestly surprised he gets away with it.

Didn't Hakkinen retire because he wanted to spend more time with the family? Now that he's divorced there's plenty of time for a F1 comeback.

Actually let's just get rid of all the newbies and have a champion of champions season, Jackie Stewart is still alive after all. If we can bring Senna and Fangio back from the grave it would be complete.

They haven't been. They're not magically in line for an entry any more than Lola or for that matter, me.

In reality they will be the only ones ready to go if there's a space but that's assuming the FIA lets someone join midseason which is by no means certain.

oh come on. At no point have the FIA said to Stefan "errrr hang on , why are you sending stuff to the first 4 races WTF dude". Yet from about Brazil onwards Bernie has been wondering around telling ALL and sundry that he doesn't thing the yanks will make it. He's been sticking the knife in whenever he can. Where has the help been ? the "here are a bunch of companies that want to invest in F1 and like the america angle" Conversations. Bernie is supposed to be the mover and shaker the guy doing the deals behind the scenes. Yet all he's done is bad mouth the yanks and tell the world they're shit and not turning up hardy har har.

The Yanks won't be at Bahrain, the FIA (Todt himself in fact) have already said, "no show is not an option", after bernie offered the skip 3 races option. Stefan GP will be parked out the front with a car and team ready to roll and everything will procced without an eyelid flickering at all. In fact i think the yanks will sell their FIA race pass to Stefan before the end of the last test session next week. Thus saving a whole bunch of Toyota jobs and making the FIA look ace.

Lola et all got shafted, the yanks got hung out to dry and Stefan will be handed the best gig in town. East european strippers all round
