Final times for day 1. Hard to take anything from it, but would be nice if Sauber do have a good car.

Just stuck £2 on Kobayashi on betfair. £145 If they can 'do a Brawn'.

Yes, I realise that they're probably on fumes so somebody will write a cheque to put their stickers on their Brawn-white sidepods...

News just starting that Campos has been sold, not much on it yet though.

Nobody knows about fuel load etc, but check out the difference between Rosberg and Schumacher!!! Wow.... not bad for someone who's been out of it for years. And is 41. Why hasn't anyone commented!! :)

Schumacher's brilliance goes without saying :). As said can't tell too much but it does look impressive, he doesn't look like a Badoer running, around the back of the track begging everyone to slow down, he's still got it. He had a time disqualified for cutting a corner at one point, so back and up to his old tricks. :) Glad to see Massa seems to be back and fine.

Yeah schumi set a 1.08 lap, everyone went spare initially before they realised he'd cut the chicane :(

He got a lot of the credit for turning the car around last year.

You'll never see him doing glory runs. Mainly the vanilla work that has to be done, as Badoer did for Ferrari.

Of course we also thought that about Brawn... (although I tend to agree with you), although it's always fun to speculate on bacon briefcase times.

What's the Deal with this BMW/Ferrari Sauber thing? I can't see why any of the parties want that arrangement (except BMW getting free advertising - which is a risk when they're likely to be scrabbling in the midfield while 4 silver Mercs fight amongst themselves for the podium positions). Why can't a name change can't be waved through?
