The Ferrari really is a dog for anyone who hasn't driven it for any length of time.

I hope Badoer is having a little smile to himself to be honest. He was given a hard time, but Fisichella has proven you can't just climb into a Ferrari and be at the front.

Good for him is Barry is not THAT much better and has a 5 place drop. But more so is that the Red Bulls & Macca's + Rosberg will be picking up big points. More damage limitation, more leaked points. But again, I think he'll get away (largely) with it.

BBC 1 coverage starts at 12.10

Factors.

1) The option tyre seems about 0.5 seconds faster than the prime, but some drivers are having difficulty making it last 6 laps before it grains. And they have to run a whole stint on it. This favours smooth drivers like Button and works against oversteer drivers like Lewis.

2) Safety car highly likely. During practice and qualifying we had three reds. All the teams are fuelled in the expectation of this. Will put cat amongst pigeons. With concrete walls and few run offs we could get some attrition.

3) Several rookie drivers who under the new rules can't practice. So we have seen lots of mistakes from them. Expect more.

4) 31 degrees C and massively humid. A very long lap that is very, very hard work. Expect exhaustion and lack of concentration from the drivers after half distance.

5) Different drivers shine at different circuits. Kimi at Spa, Massa in Istanbul. Singapore looks like Nico Rosberg's circuit.

6) This is Hamilton's race to lose, but he is very mistake prone.

Should be fun under the floodlights.
