"For any Italian driver, a Ferrari race seat is a long-held dream and for Giancarlo it was no exception. No one should stand in the way of this. Furthermore the agreement will secure Giancarlo's long-term future with Ferrari and it would be incorrect to jeopardise this, particularly when Giancarlo has made such a vital contribution to Force India."

Looks like Fisco's going to be replacing Badoer in more ways than one.

Fair play to Force India as well, the recognized the contribution of the driver and that they couldn't get in the way! Nice to see.

I don't care what he said, Ferrari WILL have let them off the engine money they owe. Charity in F1? I don't think so.

Good news, but will Fisi get to grips with that Ferrari in time for Monza?

And a quick addition - at the start of the season I thought the BBC had made a massive cock-up having Coulthard and Jordan as co-presenters, but they've become one of the highlights of the pre-show for me, like the grumpy old men in the muppet show. And the f1 forum on the red button is excellent and really should be on the iplayer.

edit: and another addition - when the fuck will Bernie & co realise tracks like Spa are what we want to see, not an industrial estate in Spain with a terrible circuit.

Well, obviously, that's why I said the same thing 5 posts earlier

FIF1 added that a decision regarding Fisichella's replacement will be made in the coming days, but it is commonly believed that the seat will be handed to tester and fellow Italian Vitantonio Liuzzi, who could stay on-board as a race driver into 2010.

Well, there's any hope of more good finishes for Force India out the window

Don't rule out Adrian Sutil. Force India reckon their car will be just as fast this weekend in Monza. If he can get the car set up right he could challenge near the top.

What a turn up it would be if Sutil out qualified Fisi in the Ferrari!

Renault charged by FIA over race fixing at Singapore 2008!

Piquet gets his revenge on Flav?

I still can't believe this, he crashed with 47 laps remaining. OK so Alonso knows how to control a race, but it just seems like a dumb thing to do so early in a race in a season when they weren't even chasing a championship.

If Renault demanded a win or they pull out... :eyebrows:
