It's a motor racing event, not a high speed sight seeing tour. Absolutely tedious race. Very happy for Rubens though.

this dull as race, but really happy for ruben's. He raced his ass off and i think would have pipped lewis even without the pitstop fuck up.

I like the setting at Valencia. I actually like the way in the background you see cargo containers and cranes. It's different, properly urban but with sea! The problem is the track itself is shite. The last two years races show it's problem: sweeping curves that get treated as long straights with a little weaving and hard stops for a bend before the next *straight*. This leaves cars struggling to be within 2 seconds of the car in front. By not being properly straight the tow isn't as affective which means the car behind doesn't catch the one in front entering the next breaking zone. Without this the car in front is on the gas earlier and constantly "gets away" until the one behind isn't suffering from all the understear induced by being too close.

Bless good old ferrari for sitting at the top of the pile and not having a young driver program, they are well and truely fucked going into the back end of the season. I can see them practically doing anything they can to get Alonso into the spare seat before the end of the year.

LOL!

You know I've been thinking about this whole Alonso to Ferrari thing and how Ferrari would be able to get rid of Kimi. It occurred to me that if Kimi did have any performance clauses in his contract then they are likely to be based against him team mate (i.e. you must score within 70% of your team mate by the end of the year or race 14 etc) and with Massa out of action, that makes those clauses unlikely to be actioned.

So a thought occurred. What if Ferrari turn round to Massa and say "Look, we really like you and want you to stay with us but our hands are tied with Kimi. If you would consider racing for another team just for next year, then we'll pay you a bundle and then bring you back to Ferrari long term in 2011."

I wonder…

Kimi is quietly getting podiums as well. So don't discount him.

Yeah I actually still really rate him. I think it's his commitment that Ferrari are perhaps less happy with.

Actually, I reckon Kimi do well this weekend. Might be worth a punt. Kers, plus long wheel base plus Kimi is awesome round Spa. The only down side is it will be cold and that Ferrari doesn't seem to like the cold too much. Plus if it rains Kimi is boned, that boy can't drive for shit when it rains. Still, if it's dry and mild, yeah, I could see him winning. At least on the podium.

It wont be a title contender that wins in Spa if its raining.

I think button has lost it, the championship and the push. He doesnt have it in him. He was given a great car at the start of the year and now his true ability to deal with pressure is showing.

Hamilol I think, just hasnt the car 100% yet and in the rain KERS and a developing car could be unsteady.

Red Bulls could pull of something but I dont know something says no.

Ill take a Kimi win or some randomer like Alonso or Kubcia!
