Let's not forget i didn't think much of Kubica, so i wouldn't take anything I say as reasonable or informed.

I just said i don't like Perez, It's irrational, i think it's his gormless smile i dislike really. But there you go, I'm sure in a McLaren or a Redbull he'd be world champion. Look at Button all those years in a Honda we though he was shit and now he's the new Goldenboy.

Well yes it was a bit of a girly sulk, but i can't blame him, he lost the race when he had to wait for Button to come in for the first tire stop. He'd fucked the tires and should have been in a lap earlier, Button got the call because he was leading.

The last time his mum was at a race he won, so i suspect he's still feeling fragile from last year.

That an i have a massive hard on for Lewis and i'm not even gay or n'owt.

Watching the race for the first time using Sky's coverage, which in the race appears to consist of adding absolutely nothing to what the BBC were doing. Crofty still trying to adjust from the radio, he'll realise he doesn't have to talk as much now soon.

As a saving grace at least you can't really see the hideous step noses on TV.

Some mask it better than others. I think it was the Sauber where it really looks awful still. And some of the in car shots from over the head really make it look odd, with Lotus really standing out.

We've all done it. I was critical of Massa and Alonso (Minardi) in their early days - particularly spin-prone sessions at Monaco where wrong or not, I had them down as over-driving. Talented, yes (well, maybe half of that pairing! ;) I jest!) - but without much in the way of fine control. I thought that Alonso had it what was needed, but needed to learn or find a way to tone it down. I've worryingly seen that in more recent drivers, where to a dangerous extent, they have appeared to be 'all or nothing' (unlike many, I have fears regarding misplaced belief that with its many developments on and off the track, F1 is inherently safe).

I've wondered for years if I'm right that Formula One is the most hard-ass of sports when it comes to unforgiving fans. It doesn't seem to be the case with bikes. Even those who don't like a rider appear to have a begrudging respect for what they're doing on two wheels - yet in F1 and with Button being a fine example, you're a hero or zero. Rugby used to be okay (I don't know how it is now). What about Football?

Onto more important matters, how much have we had Hispania Racing Towing Truck Services take the lead mid-race? Is it in your immense fact-receptacle, Kiro? Even though I didn't like to see something that big on the track with the cars, the ad boards were the icing on the cake!

Massa will be shown the door before the end of the year with Kubica or Kobe filling the seat.

Is Kubica likely to be back in a car anytime soon? Didn't Renault Lotus let him go recently because he wasn't going to be ready until long after his contract was with them is over and he wouldnt commit.

I agree with you that Massa won't see the season out, but then Ferrari keeping him this long can only be down to loyalty over his injury and who can say when that runs out.

Oh God dont bring up itv's coverage. Does anyone else remember they kept trailing each grand prix a few years ago saying this is the one where Button was going to win his first race (I think it was with BAR before their ban of the illegal fuel tank) and it kept not happening for him. That was painful.

Most embarrassing one was Imola 05, when ITV pushed back their final ad break because Jenson was leading near the end, despite it being obvious to anyone that he still had a fuel stop to make.

As a result they had to go for a break with about four laps left, just as it looked like Schumacher was going to take a crack at overtaking Alonso for the lead. It proved particularly unpopular!
