I reckon a repeat is on the cards for next weekend too. Jenson's handy around Sepang.

Shame Maldonado binned it as he was having a great race until then. Plus hey, people might be unhappy at Perez but he bagged some good points from last on the grid. Did nothing wrong in my opinion - just drove his race.

What's with the Maldonado criticism? He's having an excellent race!

Mainly due to his unacceptable and petty behaviour towards other cars on the track, we saw it last season when he intentionally tried to hit Lewis after a squabble and then today he left grojean no room and slammed him out of the race after a well earned 3rd.

Then proceeds to be a general pain in the ass for everyone else.

Awesome start to the season though, chaos on that last lap :)

Yeah agree with that. Guess he must have 1 stopped right? As he didn't pit under the safety car... those softs must have been in shreds by the end... good drive.

Grosjean crash was a racing incident for me. Maldonado came in a bit hot, but wasn't any worse than countless other moves there have been at that corner over the years.

As for him then being a pain in the arse to everyone else, can't say I noticed him doing anything wrong from that point until his crash.

Need to see the ending of the race again, Vergne was in 11th with a lap to go but still finished 11th & everyone else went pass him to grab the points

Yeah Sky pissing around with anything but showing this. Looked like he made a very small mistake and Ricciado got past him, after that he might have got tangled up with Rosberg and whoever else went backwards.

So, Williams, Lotus and Sauber have really caught up in the winter. Force India have fallen backwards a bit despite di Resta grabbing a lucky point. Ferrari... well I guess it depends on just how bad Massa really is now... Alonso seemed not far off the Red Bulls at all... remember when Massa was world champion for about 10 seconds? Really has never recovered from that big crash, pretty much the end of a very promising career... he hasn't half moaned as it's happened though...

I agree with Kiroquai, people just appear to dislike Maldonado because he's a "pay driver", also his swipe at Hamilton won him very few fans, many of whom forget Hamilton shunted him at Monaco too.

Fair points on today, he drove a good race.. and miiiiiles ahead of Senna. Whilst he's exciting and aggressive, he seems petulant and arrogant in general though.

Yeah in a racing incident. In a race. Maldonado drove into him deliberately. On an out lap. Should've been thrown out for a number of races, imo. No excuses.

Worth watching later on the beeb, given I already know the result?

Would rather not waste 2 hours of my life if there were only a handful of laps where shit got real

Yes first race always worth watching - plus the beeb will be better at the coverage.
