di Montezemolo is at it again. It's all me me me. Again. Why am I surprised?

Customer cars! LOOOOOOOOOL! We want to control even more of the grid!

In season testing! We've built a fucking truck and need to test our way out of the shit!

The comment about Italians in F1 is particularly LOL worthy. Since when have Ferrari cared about that?! Badoer standing in aside you have to go back 20 YEARS since Ferrari fielded Ivan Capelli. They couldn't give a fuck, it's just another way of him trying to justify a move suit his own agenda - a move that would change the fabric of F1 forever.

No wonder the other teams don't support it. Customer cars is NOT F1. If he wants customer cars, why doesn't he fuck off to the states, paint a Dallara red and leave F1 alone.

F1 doesn't need Ferrari anywhere near as much as they think. Cue another quit threat soon when he spits the dummy over not getting his way.

I don't like F1 on the decline, with no testing and no technical innovation.

F1 in decline tech wise. Really? The only technical innovation I see missing right now is in the Maranello design office. ZING!

I was slightly shocked to see him sat next to niki lauda in to hell and back way back in 75. Thought he was a new commer to the sport! He's going to walk either way, think he has ambitions on running the country.

Really makes me wonder just how much they run the car in testing when the cobbler was at the wheel. Second team if my memory serves me correctly? Or at least flogging it to death round fiorano.

There's really only one really big problem with selling last year's cars.

Last year's cars are rarely if ever legal. It's not like the 70s when you could get 5 years out of the rules, there isn't a single car from last year you could legally race in 2012 without major modification.

Is this sopcast method usually good quality? I bookmarked some other link (vipbox) someone gave earlier, but the quality didn't seem so good. I know nothing about streaming live TV using methods like these and never imagined I would. Thanks's Bernie!

The things I've watched on it have always been good quality, but think it's largely down to the quality of what the person is streaming. The channel above is the best football stream I've seen, probably more comparable to watching football on ITV SD, sat back on a big screen for free, it's great. Plus it will be the Sky channel, no risk of French or German commentary. The Everton/Liverpool game is on tonight so can always check it out, need to give it a few minutes to sort itself out, watch the quality drop now.

What an idiot he is... yeah, lets get other teams running last years Ferrari so there can be more Italian drivers on the grid. If he wants Italian drivers on the grid, let them drive in a Ferrari.

Hell, even if they had their second driver Italian, it would fit into their usual plans of having one great driver- and another to give testing feedback during the race.

I'm sure there's a joke about a gearbox with seven reverse gears and one forward gear.....

Yeah but the quality's terrible, and keeps dropping out on mine.

I tried to watch the F1 programme through the XBox when it was shown on Sky 1 on Sunday. The sound was about 1.5 seconds behind the image, and even turning the XBox off and on again didn't fix it.

Netflix works fine here. I'm not impressed with Sky so far! Better be sorted for the weekend. (I'm paying my mate to use his login)

I can't find the channel, I take it it's only there when there's actually something on that he wants to stream rather than all the time?

Yes, his channel is only running when something is being streamed, schedule is here, but you need to be registered to read it. I'm just hoping he'll be doing every GP would make life easier, but no doubt they'll be some clash with football at some point.

So a useful link is Wiziwig which has links to streams for all sports, used it for sports cars and Indy car. Useful to have as a backup if your usual stream isn't on, but quality of the streams and language will vary widely.

The person whose football streams I usually watch is also going to be doing the F1 this weekend. I've always found his streams to be really good quality so hopefully will be good for the F1 as well, plus it will mean no need to try and find a stream at 5am. If you want to try it you'll need Sopcast and it's Channel 106723 (Bloodzeed HQ)

You'll need a fairly fearsome internet connection but I concur with this assessment of bloodzeed. Just make sure you can do 2Mbit down AND up.

As well as the F1 kicking off this weekend we've also got the first round of the new FIA World Endurance Championship at the 12hrs of Sebring. It's a packed field with 50 entries across the WEC and ALMS, starting at 2.30pm GMT and all of it plus qualifying will be streamed on the FIA site, no mention of commentators but hopefully it will be Radio Le Mans who are great.
