I feel dirty for asking, but is the F1 channel on Skygo also is Skygo an HD stream? As you only need to sign up for a month at a time it reduces the cost nicely, plus easier to watch Game of Thrones.

If it is like the other Sky Go options then with a good connection it is pretty sharp although perhaps not full HD.

Just noticed on BBC1 at the moment there's Racing with the Hamiltons: Nic in the driving seat, a documentary following Lewis' brother as he starts motor racing. It's half way through but no doubt it will be on the iPlayer. Pretty interesting, Lewis currently giving him tips on how to take a corner he's having problems with.

He certainly had enough blond hair when we saw him.

I think the shadow may have been another "fake" like the ferrari at the top. It wasn't part of the historic f1 paddock at the back of the set, It was just parked up out the back. But it looked nice and the story of Toms death always gets an " Oooh" from any non f1 fans.

I watched this and it unleashed a number of emotions. Fair play to Nic for having a go, do I think he's anygood? Maybe not. There's certainly a huge element of his brothers cash and his dads contacts working behind the scenes. Mclaren modifying the clio? Can't see many other people getting access to that kind of technical ability. He is most certainly an inspiratiin to others. His dad came across as a bit of a cock, and with my own son heading off down a route of weekends away and so forth it's a stark warning of how I desperately don't want to be seen by others. He just seems to be a bit too much imo, and I 'll wager that both his kids still live in fear of him. Racing is intense enough without that level of intensity making matters far worse breathing over your shoulder all the time.

Worth watching if you didn't see it. Did a really impressive job of totalling the car at thruxton. Might do ok in tin tops, but I wouldn't ever expect to see him in a single seater. I would imagine his second season will be more of a make or break time than his first.

I watched the last half hour of the program as well while flicking through channels last night, for the first couple of minutes I didn't know he had cerebral paulsly and thought he was taking gangster walking to a new level, then I realised  . From what he was like in 2008 to now is quite a transformation so he might improve even more over the years.

Are disabled people allowed to use performance enhancing drugs in competition? If so then he will probably mature to be a decent driver if he has access to steroids, if not then I think it will be an uphill battle.

Did it require a VPN etc? Would quite like to get it working with my parents' login in the US.

I'm not 100% sure. I use unblock-us on my MacBook so I can get the US Netflix. I'm not sure if that's letting me get SkyGo or it just plain works.

Worth a shot either way though as it costs nothing. Just get you parents' login and add your device via the website.

Ref the drugs thing, I would imagine not. Certainly not at the upper levels anyway, I've known plenty of drivers/riders to have been an eternal mile over the limit from booze but never any that have been busy with other chemicals. He'd struggle to get a licence with some issuers, and with the time limit imposed for being able to free yourself from an F 1 car I can't ever see it happening.

:omg: Just noticed at the bottom, where the channels are listed on LiveOnlineFooty:

And if you click it:

Get the fuck in! Hopefully they'll have HD feeds as well but being able to get all the content through my PS3 will be amazing.

Every so often they open it up/dish out invites. I'll keep an eye out and let you guys know.

For the record, it's £2 a day, £6 for 60 days. The latter is an utter bargain if you watch any amount of football but with the F1 it's pretty much a steal.

EDIT: I think the most important point though is that there definitely will be high quality streams for this. You might even get HD Sopcast feeds, because LOF don't have any dedicated channels for any other sports - so the F1 channel is a big deal.

Sky using that "Just Drive" record for their credits is their 1st miss step IMHO. It's too down & was perfect for the BBC end of season thing but not every race. Nothing will beat the chain but that is a weak choice IMHO.

Edit: here is the actual title sequence...

wow awesome historical car porn there. Awesome, bar the music & having to start in Seb's eye for a year. I'll just mute it & pop the chain on.

I'd have thought the mods needed for him to drive a car would rule out F1 anyway. Has to use a hand operated clutch if I remember rightly (haven't seen that docu), which I'd imagine wouldn't fit in an F1 car even if the rules allowed it.

I thought he'd done alright though. Only glanced at the results occasionally, but whilst he never seemed to be in contention for a win he wasn't finishing last either.

Does anyone know that with the Virgin XL package are we going to get the F1 channel or do we have to sign up to the entire sports package?

Or better yet can we just get the channel added to our package?

All current F1 cars actually have hand operated clutches. :)

Marussia announce a test driver who is 32 with a best finish of 18th in a World Touring Car Championship race and who was last seen 2 years ago being reliably on the back row of Superleaga formula.

Sadly it's important but if they actually run her (yes her) that'll put women drivers back another 2 decades just as Amati did.

I hope at least one of Simona di Silverstro, Alice Powell or Emma Kimilainen just punched something.
