Lots of egg on faces in here then ;)

At least its defi not going to cost £600 to watch F1 next season ;)

Or good on all those people complaining as it might be one of the reasons this happened. Either way this isn't too bad, all on BBC would be best but this isn't a bad compromise.

I don't think for one minute this has happened because people complained, i speculated at the time that it would be on a motorsports channel and it has been rumoured many times since.

But it's not on a motorsports channel. It's on a part time channel that only runs on the race weekend, which smacks of something just thrown together to appease the people complaining. Also sounds rather temporary.

So that's £120 - the price of another licence fee - for 10 F1 races (as the other 10 will be live on the BBC). No deal.

The comments on that blog are gold:

The teams are only shooting them selves in the foot when in a decade none of the designers engineers or mechanics coming out of edjucation even think of a career in f1.

Why can't we take this to the Human Rights court when all the viewers in Europe get to view the whole season free? Martin Brundell, couldn't have expected any less of him.

Actually just realised another thing, Shimmy's claims rely on you taking the full bundle, but you might not want broadband etc from Sky. I need a static IP for work, can I get that with Sky?

It looks more and more like that exaggerated £600 figure the more I look into it :(

BARGAIN!

I was thinking this on the way to work. F1 isn't all year round. While the legends stuff is bound to be better than most races, it's only what the beeb have been doing on the red button.
