That's different from saying it's his car doing the work to, which is patently untrue.

I never said it was the car doing all the work, I said I wasn't sure. That feeling probably comes from the fact that I'm utterly bored by it and him.

No crazy frog though and only a moderate amount of finger though, that is at least improving.

There is no doubt that all year the red bull has been a vastly superior package compared to any other car on the grid. For a couple of races Mclaren has come close but overall red bull IS the car of 2011 & 2010. Seb in that car is the package but I'd be soooo interested to see him in equal cars with Hamilton, Alonso or button.

There are very many different skills involved in being an F1 driver, getting it off the line, finding braking points, managing tyres etc etc. Different drivers are better at different things.

Overall, out of the entire grid of drivers I would put Webber in the bottom 25%. He is just a journeyman who got lucky by getting a Newey car. His one trick is single lap pace, just like Trulli. So he outqualifies his race pace. He has a lot of accidents.

Vettel is a lot better than he was last year. Now he is a very similar driver to what Massa was before the accident. So he can get the best out of the best car. But he doesn't outperform it.

The best drivers just now, all round, are Button and Alonso, they both very clearly outperform the car and their team mates. In changing conditions Button is possibly the best ever, as we saw in Canada.

Hamilton is faster than Button over a single lap but Button is better at just about everything else. Including overtaking. Button has done a massive number of successful overtakes this season. Hamilton has had a lot of crashes on his overtake attempts.

There are several drivers who would be WDC and would have done what Vettel has done, or done even better, if they had been given that Newey car. In fact it is an embarrassment that Webber is doing so badly in it.

I don't think Webber is half as bad as some would like us to think. Stick him in the Merc and he'd give Britney a run for his money. He's deffo slower than last year though. At times last year he was great.

He's a good number 2 driver. A better Patrese. And he can turn it on big style occasionally - which is more than 70% of than grid can.

Vettel is easily as good as Alonso or Button. What else can he be expected to do? He smashed quali every time, dominates races and overtakes when he needs to. He's made like one mistake this entire season.

He's going down as an all time great.

In the book of dull received opinion, sure. I'd like to see him move team and win a WDC now.

Not the most thrilling race in the end but I do like the track, with all the gravel and grass around it looks like a proper track not another Tilke line on a car park. Something that makes a driver stick within the lines and punishes them if they don't. Do have to wonder why Tilke hasn't done this before, thankfully Austin looks more like an India than Korea, I'd be very surprised if people are quietly talking about dropping it in a few years time.

Good result for Alonso, another Massa race, do have sympathy for him and think he'd benefit from moving on. Wonder if Mercedes would swap him for Schumacher, another really good race from him, put him in a decent car and he could still win races.

Wow, Lewis looks really depressed, jaded. :(

Looks like he needs the season to end more than anyone. I don't know what it's like with his dad but I wonder if the best thing for him would be to get rid of his current management, get back with his dad and forget this year. I think whatever he'd be better off with new management.

Totally agree! Get Anthony back 10000%
