Yeah, it's very good. Sat right in the middle for this years race. There's almost too much to see - you can see the cars for a good 40 secs. It is £300 a ticket though...

Prob going to go for the start or end of the pit straight next year. Sat at Arena the year before - pretty disappointing if I'm honest.

Heh, we've been in the same stands for the last two races then. I totally agree with these comments, the only thing Arena had over becketts is you could see the red arrows.

Yeah! The red's scared the crap out of me - they appeared low from nowhere over the back of Becketts. And that was the all I saw of them that day :hmm:

If you can't afford this, get on woodcote in a place you can look straight up Wellington.

Did it feel like it was quite a distance to the end of the straight? I've only been in woodcote once - towards the right the the stand so couldn't see up the straight.

The end of the wellington is where all the overtakings being done. So I would like to be near, but not if you feel miles away from where the action takes place. I'm not a fan of the little loop before woodcote, the cars look crap there - but I would deal with it if I got to see some overtaking.

Just read an article on planet f1. Williams really do need to sign raikonnen.

That is all.

Kimi + Di Resta or the Hulk.

Then at least their cars would be peddled properly.

Their current two drivers would be uncompetitive in a good car.

Kimi may be laid back so far as to be comatose. In fact he can even sleep in the pits just before a race. But he is blindingly fast, incredibly brave and a true race winner.

Mostly in his career he has been let down by the cars he was driving.

Di resta is nailed to a Merc seat in a year or two. Why would he want to waste his time in a Williams ?

The word is that V J Mally is about to sell Force India any day now to some Indian bank consortium. Sutil might well get the old heave ho leaving the seat for the Hulk to take.

At least he's a quick problem, compared ro Rubens who I dare say can barely raise his own pulse, let alone that of anyone in the team.

Was quick. Right now he's an unknown quantity. I'd have a fiver on Sutil, Hulk, Rubens all blowing him away in a shootout tomorrow.

I think you would lose your fiver. Kimi is in a different league to that lot. Class is permanent.

I have watched Kimi in high speed bends working hard to keep all four tyres right on the very edge of their grip limits. The whole car twitching quickly, almost a vibration, as the loads moved around with the tyres losing and gaining grip. It is amazing to watch.

Only very rarely have I seen any other driver able to squeeze so much out of their machine in a corner. But Kimi could do it regularly.

Admittedly when he was demotivated at Ferrari and the car wouldn't work for him he didn't do it so often, but you can see why.

Just go to YouTube and look at the onboard of his pole laps (there are lots of them) to see an utter genius at work.

Sutil, Hulk and Rubens blowing him away. Ha ha.

He hasn't driven an F1 car for 2 years. In those 2 years F1 has changed a lot - especially the tyres. It's a totally different game since he last drove. Look at the struggle the cobbler's had. And he was motivated.

Who knows how long it would take for him to get back up to speed. I'd say longer than you might think. Add in to the mix the lack of testing these days and it's a long road back to being competitive. If he can at all be arsed.

LeMans is the perfect place for him. Do a few races for fun, no commitment and a field of didn't make it or over the hill drivers. He'd shine.

Not these days, endurance racing has some of the rastest drivers out there. It's far more professional that it ever uised to be, with more PAID drivers at Petite le Mans this year than were on the grid at Japan. There are a lot of talented drivers that either couldn't ge tthe finance or where just unlucky.

Kimi would be fast, but you need to be consistant and a team player ;)

And be able to stay awake. He'd be hitting the walls after an hour and a half, fucking off to the nearest party at the first pit stop. Nowt wrong with going to the le mans route. Saved many an f1 career on the way.

I am not so sure about Kimi as a team player.

In rallying they have a navigator, how did that work for him?

All I know is that he is just ridiculously fast, in a way that is on another plane. Just look what he did to his team mates at McLaren or at those qualifying videos.

And he is a natural, look at his CV. He got into F1 after a ridiculously small number of races. He wasn't one of those who started by karting when they were three years old.
