I believe it's been confirmed (James Allen blogged on it) that the actual commentary will be shared between both Sky and the BBC; therefore it's highly likely that Brundle (and probably Coulthard) will continue to commentate.

Never liked his commentary but the blog is a good read.

The easiest way if you can access Milton Keynes is InKart. 13hp, 75mph karts on a near mile outdoor track. Last Sunday of every month. 10 min practice, 3 20 minute races, £50.

That's what I was referencing when I said I could do a season for the price of Sky. Obviously work up levels from that it gets expensive.

We're also looking into entering a 24hr race in an 85mph DMAX kart for £1800 per team, which is still pretty affordable with a team of 6.

Aye, just karting and rent racing is a very cheap way to do it - i did a little bit of Karting and did a 4 hour endurance race between 3 of us and it was amazing, problem is it gets addictive and literally as soon as we jumped out we were at the venue working out how to buy the £1200 twin engine race kart they had for sale (this was many years ago, over 10 :o )

I would much rather do some form of motorsport than watch F1 but it is expensive, even preparing my car for a track day season has cost more than the car itself and each day is between £120 - £200 plus fuel and tires - currently trying to work out if i can keep my pooma as a track only car and run my new one too - would need a trailer etc but would be brilliant!

Must get some more karting action n now you say it, not been for a long time!

And on topic, COME ON LEWIS :omg:

Adverts are not the issue here.

I don't have sky and will never have sky. This was all I watch on tv, and now that's not even a justified yearly expense.

I am simply not paying £600 a year to Murdoch to watch F1.

I might catch the odd BBC race, but I'm with marsh; I'm looking into starting racing myself, even if it's just damn go karts. This gave me the nudge.

Fuck yeah. It's actually cheaper to go and watch the BRITISH GP LIVE, with fucking amazing seats and you'll never want to watch it on tv ever again. How on earth can anyone be thinking of getting sky? they've torn the arse out of cricket, they're fucking football over into something that I sincerly hope does eventually go bankrupt, and they will in no doubt be the noose that brings around a break away series for F1.

Still, I'll only read about it in the paper cause there's no way I'll watch it again after this year. There's hundreds of ways for the BBC to save money, they used to cover the races when I dare say there was fuck all money in the pot, and suddenly they can't. It's utter bull shit.

And with that, I've a road legal quad to get back on the road.
