Lego Star Wars: The Original Trilogy

I'm finding the camera a bit annoying, I'd prefer to have full control over the direction I'm looking at, too often I fall of a clif or find myself in a position where I know I'd play better from having a better camera angle. Does anyone know how to C3PO R2D2 past a little force field type barrier that prevents droids from going through, I need 4 characters to open a door.

My Play order is still sitting at 'preordered'. Has Gameplay started sending out the 360 version does anyone know?

I got the 360 version today from Gameplay, it was shipped yesterday, I used 99p delivery too.

The Cube version is yet another Game exclusive. So, that'll be no sales and high prices forever, then.

I thought most GAME stores no longer even bothered to stock GC games. I know the ones I've been into recently don't have any space for newly released GC games, only pre-owned stuff and stuff that is new but has been out for ages.

I just finished my first level with the x-wing and my oh my was it good. Controls are a little tricky for all of one minute but once you get them sorted out your soar through the level. It was quite tough but it was really good. I then went on to complete my second flying mission with the snow speeder it was quite good too.

Now that this seems to be widely available, I it's worth asking these old questions in the hope that someone doesn't mind answering:

1. Does the 360 version recognise a saved game from the Xbox version of Lego Star Wars, and use that to unlock characters (guessing no)?

2. Does the Xbox version, played on 360, recognise a saved game from the Xbox version of Lego Star Wars?

Sorry I can't answer the questiosn above but for the first time in a long time I actually want to post just how great a game is. The 360 version plays like a dream and the depth effects are stunning. My wife and I have been playing co-op for a few hours and both of us would swear it's like a watching a stop motion movie at time- the effect is that good.

Oh and findign stormtroopers in their speedo's having a bath is worth the price alone.

Got this yesterday on the Xbox. Spent over an hour trying to get off the first level. GRRR.

How?

I picked it up today, sailed through the first level, really enjoyed it.

One thing I did realise was this: I'm not going to be a Jedi very often on my first play through, am I? LAME. There better be loads of other stuff to make up for that.

Enjoying it a lot now!

The little touches are excellent, such as the machine that puts Leia hair on Han Solo :(

Or when they blow up Alderan (sp?) and the laser guys are asleep at their desk.

My only fault is that sometimes you're not always sure where to go, and you can be bouncing around a for a bit until it comes to you.

It could have done a controllable camera though.

Still, lots of laugh, enjoying it more than the first one.

Dear Gamesmaster

I'm really enjoying Lego Star Wars 2 on the Xbox, but I'm stuck on the Hoth Battle in the Empire Strikes Back level. How do I open the gate, and what are the spheres for that I can attach the harpoon to?

Thanks Gamesmaster.

Hook a sphere fly towards what you want to get past and press 'B' to unhook it. It will then fly merrily forwards and blow up whatever it hits.

I'll get this when it is cheap but I need to know one thing, is the ps2 version on a blue disc?

Nope. Good old DVD.

Hmph. Stuck already on Chapter 3 of Ep:IV.

In Mos Eisley Spaceport I've got Han and Chewy but I'm stuck on the area with the green lizard things (excuse my ST ignorance). Anyone know how you get out of there?

1) No, tried it. However you can get all the characters normally anyway.

2) Xbox version won't work on 360.

This is just completely fantastic. One of the most amazing things is the way it's so atmospheric, even with the cartoon presentation. The corridors of the Death Star are exactly how they should be: metallic, brooding and menacing. And the depth of field stuff on the 360 is just beautiful.

Does anyone else get a thrill of anticipation every time there's a little pile of bricks begging to be made into something? Just what is going to emerge from them? And once you start building some of the larger things ... excellent!
