Gomes is playing crocked

Eep! Little wonder his form has plummeted in the past couple weeks (IIRC this happened right before Stoke), more worrying about Sanchez though as he's effectively got no fit backup!

Not being funny, but if that's true, then Comolli deserved his sacking cos we should have a decent backup keeper, not sell Robinson and get two shit keepers in.

Its not they're shit, I'm sure Sanchez isn't and Gomes is a brilliant keeper when he's fit (one of the best clean sheet records in Europe before coming to us IIRC), but it sounds to me like both are carrying injuries and we've not really got a 3rd keeper ready to step in (which is Commoli's fault too)

That was amazing to watch last night. I woke the missus up laughing so loudly, and had a smile on my face to half an hour afterwards (and I'm not even a fan).

I love that Spurs supporter getting in on the celebrations at the end and getting swamped by players! And those stewards trying to get at him under a pile of white shirts. He's famous! I bet he feels like a million quid this morning.

Gomes looked amaze at the start of the season IMO, made some fantastic saves and never gave up a goal that was his fault. He made one slip-up at Villa but that was it until he got injured, and he was dominant in the area at set pieces (and actually catching not just punching). He looks like a different keeper at the moment, worried about coming out, not catching nearly as well, you can see him visibly in pain whenever he has to go down low. The guy needs a lay-off but if Sanchez is injured too we just can't afford it until after Man City, as Jansson is probably nowhere near up to it.

Maybe. A girl at work knows him. He was in a cell until 4am.

You know what though, I think we actually missed JJ tonight. He may make a load of seemingly pointless runs, but those runs take people out of position and give Hudd more space to work. Hope he's not too badly injured (shouldn't be as its a toe strain or something lol) but I think that if he is out next week then Ghaly might be able to fill in that position as long as Harry gives him a chance.

I actually agree with you, I kept thinking we were lacking Jenas on the ball with his penetrating runs and tireless engine. For all the stick he does get I felt he was missed.

Come on Spurs let's push up that table.

As much as i'm gutted tonight's game may have given you the lift (couldn't have waited til next week?!) I hope you do move up the table, I always enjoyed watching Spurs under Jol and I hope that kinda football returns

We've not got too bad a run until January, Man City away next and Man U at ours are the hardest games we've got until the New Year. We should be able to claw back up to 9 or 10th before then IMO, not too bad but Ramos has stunted our growth this season. Top 10 and a cup would be ideal for us this season as we won't get into the European places in the league unless we go on a ridiculously awesome run.

Congratulations on the win, lads. It's frustrating as a Liverpool fan but it's hard to be too disappointed given our position in the table and some of our fight backs this season. The worst thing about it was that we should have been too far ahead for you to catch us really; we could have won that by 3 or 4. It'd be nice to see you move out of danger now and get up the table. The main reason I popped in was to acknowledge how good your fans were on the night. I was very impressed with when the Spurs go marching in. I love the pace our version is sung at at Anfield but I really liked the sound of it last night. I'm pretty sure that yours was the first support to have hosted us and not started up a horrible and insulting version of 5 times as well. Well done.

Echo the sentiments, really, although was disappointed to hear Keane receive so much booing.

Although large sections of the ground did applaud him when he was subbed off.

Congrats to you Spuds. Gutted about losing in the manner we did, but we had to lose sometime. Thought Lennon was excellent in his brief spell (why not start with him?), but we should have put it to bed in that ten minute spell in the second half where hit the bar three times and shot wide at least three times too.
