Smoothy Report post Posted March 5, 2006 No need to worry, Spurs won 3-2. Keane 2 goals and Mido with 1. It's looking good for us, we're keeping the Gooners at bay.

Kagemusha. Report post Posted March 6, 2006 Well that was a lucky one, they did go on an on about the throw in that wasn't you'd think it was a fricking penalty. I think it is hard to see if the the defenders foot touched the ball from the tv angle.Still 3 points. 10 games to go.
Smoothy Report post Posted March 14, 2006 Let's hope this weekend's fixture goes better than last weekend. We need to keep ahead of them tossers across North London, especially with only 9 games to go.

Kagemusha. Report post Posted March 15, 2006 Indeed - Birmingham are just the kind of team we are famous for not beating :swe need to win the next 2 Birmingham and West Brom. Really really need to win them. I don't care if it will be considered successful gettign Uefa, but damnit I want 4th or better, I want to finish above Arsenal and I want to be watching spurs in the Champs league on a Tues/Wed night. Once a season Spurs spank a team, perhaps on of these midlanders are due.
redbloodcel Report post Posted March 19, 2006 Doesn't sound like we did too badly, a nice 2-0 victory to keep us above the scum.Anyone heard any good things about our new signing, Tomas Pekhart (other than what's on the BBC website)?
Shimmyhill Report post Posted March 27, 2006 Not going to well for us against West Brom, we where rocking them until half time but nothing to show.Gonna have to miss the 2nd half so i hope that gives us some luck !

tbb Report post Posted March 27, 2006 I'd have won £25 if west brom hadnt scored, cos I had spurs to win, spurs to win 2-0, keane to score first... plus a combination of the bets tooBecause of that Baggies goal, I made a loss of £2.64 !!!
donnie_darko Report post Posted March 27, 2006 The boys certainly made hard work of it tonight but they got there in the end! Can't believe their keeper didn't get sent off and why didn't the ref just allow Mido's goal to stand. Advantage anyone?

About all this shit with Benitez stirring shit, I think he's just trying to unfairly unsettle a great player who's having a bit of a rough patch. Defoe is quality, and saying we want to swap him for fucking Cisse is a joke! We're a striker short in the first team at the moment, why would we want to swap one for a different, utter gash one? I did think Rafa was out of order, but all the Cisse talk started with his agent saying you'd been in contact, so surely Spurs must have made an illegal approach? redbloodcel Report post Posted March 28, 2006 I think he's speaking shit personally, trying to stir up transfer interest for his client who hasn't settled at all at Liverpool (plus get a nice fat cut of a transfer deal). Agents can spout loads of shite sometimes.Jol's not going to spend money on a player that has pretty much proven he can't cut it, and certainly wouldn't swap a proven goalscorer for him, especially when we're short of strikers. Rafa blatently wants to unsettle Defoe to make any advance in the summer easier. I used to think he was an OK manager, but now I think he's an utter cunt. Smoothy Report post Posted March 31, 2006 Rafa = twatArse-enal = cheating lucky wankersI've had at least one Spurs fan come up to me and says he's worried about Arse-enal in this season's Champions League, but I'm not worried. Even if they make the final (which they won, trust me ), they can't and won't beat Barça.We're away to Newcastle next, hopefully we'll do them pretty easily. TehStu Report post Posted April 1, 2006 This made me giggle1615: We have a contender for miss of the season. Tottenham's Jermaine Jenas evades Lee Bowyer's tackle, rounds Shay Given and with the goal gaping he conspires to scoop it into the side netting. Newcastle's Gallowgate end howl in laughter at the inept finishing of their former midfielder.Bless.
redbloodcel Report post Posted April 1, 2006 We've only won about 3 of our last 13 games at St James' park, so this isn't really to be nexpected. The game's not over until it's over, though. If the boys keep battling we might end up with a draw...Edit - as well as Jenas missing, we've hit the woodwork 3 times. We're creating the chances and then just not converting them, dammit! Shimmyhill Report post Posted April 1, 2006 Arse I guess we will just have to beat the Scum to get 4th place Now we need Wigan to beat Blackburn as Man U have done us proud and beaten Bolton.

An extended UEFA Cup campaign will do Spurs the world of good and boost their co-efficient score.
Shimmyhill Report post Posted April 2, 2006 Spurs wouldn't get out of the Champions League qualifying rounds. An extended UEFA Cup campaign will do Spurs the world of good and boost their co-efficient score.I agree to a degree, last time we where in europe we where hopless and lost to a team of fishermen. I thought the same about Liverpool last year tho and they went and won it so anything is possible The money and prestige that comes with being in the champs league will help to keep best players and sign new ones. However even if we dont get 4th place and Arsenal are on fire at the moment (i would question the teams they have played as none of the recent games have seen arsenal under any pressure so they can play, when they play they are still the best team in the league) it will have been a very pleasing season - we have come a long way in 2 years and are starting to build a squad for the future aswell as for today. The really bad point this year has been we lost 11 points in the final few mins of games - with these points 4th would be ours already and we need to sort that out.Watching the highlights of the newcastle and we where unlucky with hitting the woodwork and Dyer living up to his name after rounding the keeper. At least we where not played off the pitch as the scoreline may have suggested.

Spurs have made great progress this season but man for man few of your players would get into the Chelsea / Man Utd / Liverpool / Arsenal teams. I meant the season you got into champ league you where not great and im sure most expected you to go out in league stage. No dig at Liverpool.I would say few Liverpool players would make the Arsenal/ Man U/ Chelsea teams aswell - i dont see the relevance. We have a few weaknesses esp in the right/left back positions imo but we do have a very young squad and hopefull we will add some defenders in close season.
