Son has been truly awful this season. If this was a new player he would be getting absolutely slated. He just seems to turn and run with the ball then lose it. Every. Single. Time.

I want Richarlison starting but I can't see that happening any time soon.

Sarr looked really good. Skipp still looks like he isn't going to make the grade but I'm willing to give him a few more chances.

Let's see what Poch does next season!

I reckon the Poch deal is done. There has been lots of shots of him in London on social media recently.  Conte clearly isn't staying beyond this season.

If this is correct, then the question is when does Poch start? End of season, or remove Conte and get Poch in asap?

I'd quite like an intermediary manager like Ralf Rangnick did at united. Take stock of the squad then bin off the shite - we pretty much have to write off the rest of the season though. Don't want the stink of failure immediately on Poch. If it all pans out that the club is sold and Poch gets to come back at the same time then it will be happy days (at least until it goes to shit again!)

More importantly I want to watch a spurs game and think 'we really deserved to win that'. It wasn't that long ago that Spurs used to play some of the best football in the league. Now it's hard to remember the last goal we scored that was the result of a nice passing move.

Seems very neat now... Mutual agreement to terminate his contact, Conte gets to recover, we get Poch in. 🤞

It never feels like it's a good idea for a manager to be separated from their family. Conte has not had a good time of it personally but it does feel like Spurs have never been his priority.

I said similar to a friend and he said that Poch (still) lives in London, so not really a coincidence?

Conte and Paratici have tried that for three windows now. It says a lot for Hitchen’s recruitment that we can’t sell any of the buggers. That said, I’m not sure I can entirely trust Poch if he sanctioned the likes of Lo Celso and Ndombele for a lot of money. But who knows, in his system they might have been signings that worked. He did say Ndombele would take at least a year to be fully up to speed, and Lo Celso was injured pretty much the whole time Poch was still there.

Seems a good time to bin Conte off though. I’m actually quietly glad that Stellini is getting a run of games, as the team seem a lot less rigid when he’s in charge.

Maybe the players are less rigid when Conte isn't there to shout at them?

Lo Celso has never shown any signs of being a top player - Ndombele has the talent but we all know how frustrating he was.

Lo Celso is a weird one. He’s obviously very good at something in the right system, as if it weren’t for a bad injury he would have been a starter for the World Cup winners.

He's lived in London with his family since he left the club, so yeah can be seen as a coincidence... But a few more posts of 'hey look I'm in London', and 'here I am in London having lunch with my (former Spurs) coaching staff'.

It's nothing more than gossip mongering sure, but it's a little bit of hope.

Eitherway, I reckon Poch will be manager come the summer.

Agreed, I’ve noticed a bit more presence on Spurs related social media from Poch too.

He was nearly always fit for Argentina then immediately injured back at Spurs. Didn't he also have appalling stats for us? 1 goal and 1 assist or something daft?

Yep. As usual! Miles better. Emerson Royal seems to have transformed. The fans were giving him his own chants and everything. Son scored one of those typical Kane to Son goals we've seen a million times. Lovely stuff.

Forster only really had one save to make. Romero didn't even get booked!

We were ok, it was more that West Ham are dreadful, I think thats the worst ive seen them play against us for years - I guess you dont worry about cup finals when you’re in real danger of relegation, they set up not to lose.

A fully firing Spurs should have taken them apart as many other teams will if they play that badly. However it was better than we played against Villa or Leicester so thats a positive and the crowd did sound great!

Just been reading about the lengths Emerson Royal has gone to in order to keep his place in the side. Hyperbaric chambers, his own fitness coaches, and extensive scouting of PSGs Hakimi to see where he can improve. From the last few weeks it seems to be working.

Yeah fair play to him. Can't complain about his work rate. The other players seem to like him as well. Be interesting to see if Porro eventually replaces him. I guess Royal could play right CB instead?

I think he’d be a good RCB - he’s big for a FB, and the defensive side of his game had always been largely pretty good. Getting a good LCB is a priority if Conte stays, and Romero can then move into the centre and we can rely less on Dier and Davies. Of course, knowing us, Conte will go and we’ll replace him with someone who likes to play a flat four, and our primary January target Porro will be the odd one out.
