Broker
The final chapter of Attack on Titan is finished and will be released in the next few days.
Broker
Well the final chapter was weird. It felt quite rushed which always sucks in a series that has had portions that felt a bit dragged out. The last one felt like two or three chapters worth of stuff crammed into one. Spoiler I feel like having moved away from Eren’s perspective over the final arc we could’ve used more than a few pages explaining why he made the choices he did, and I didn’t think the explanations we got were very satisfying, especially as the epilogue makes it feel like his plans failed anyway. Ryan
AoT's ending was worse than Bleach. It was worse than the second half of Death Note (which, despite the second half being braindead, actually ended well).
Broker
Definite Bleach vibes. It feels like he thought he’d have more chapters to wrap things up but then they told him he only had five.
JDubYes
The first volume of Demon Slayer is currently down from £5.59 to £0.00 on ComiXology, if anyone's interested...
Broker
The final volume of Attack on Titan is having six extra pages added to it. Two of them are a brief conversation between Mikasa and Ymir added into the final chapter. The other four are an epilogue kind of thing. They’ve got no dialogue so no need to wait for translations: Spoiler

yakumo
Please let Oda King and Yoshihiro Togashi be OK.
Broker
Yeah it’s heartbreaking, he was only 54. Obviously as a fan it’s upsetting that we’ll never see the end of Berserk (or if we do it will be delivered by someone else), but what I find really upsetting is that he’s been working on it for 32 years, since he was 22. To have poured that much energy into something and never gotten to finish it is so unfair. He said that it was “probably in the second half” in 2019 so who knows how much more he was planning. 17 hours ago, yakumo said: Please let Oda King and Yoshihiro Togashi be OK. Oda seems ok, and there’s only five years of One Piece left and he’s 46. Barring something horrible like this it should be ok. I’ve only recently read Hunter X Hunter but it seems unlikely that will get finished regardless of his health. At least Gon has a satisfying story with a conclusion. Arn X Treme
Makes you wonder if it is all about the way in which they work that seems to bring them bad health. A shame no matter the reason.
Broker
Up until he was hospitalised a few years ago Oda was sleeping three hours a night, six days a week for at least a decade, catching up on sleep on Sundays. One Piece has been excellent recently btw.
Girth Certificate
Quote Kondo Wa Korosaretakunai Azarashisan Manga : For some reason, Mahiru is able to see people’s past life. In her own past life, she was a seal born in the Arctic, in which she ended up marvelously eaten by a polar bear. The occasional nightmares about her past life still trouble her til this day. Then one day, the said polar bear from her past life suddenly appeared before her in the form of a handsome man (Ritsu) …! wev
Bought volume 1 of the "perfect edition" of 20th Century Boys and holy shit did I enjoy it! Feels like it starts off slow and has a IT kind of vibe to it but it all overlaps and builds utterly brilliantly. Need to get the second one now!

I am sure they will be reprinted again eventually and then I can buy them again at the third of the price.

They came out about 3 or 4 years ago now, Covid has really made the price of paper go crazy, so Viz could be waiting until it’s all over until they start reprinting things again, as I have noticed an awful lot of manga is almost impossible to buy now. Broker
This is crazy. It’s a list of the most commonly appearing One Piece characters over chapter 1-1000: I would love to see these stats for other similar series, because to me the main character only appearing in 860 of 1000 chapters seems really low. Yeah I've begun to notice that too. Got the first volume of Berzerk a while back, managed to order the second one this week, bought the first omnibus edition of Lone wolf and cub, been struggling to get the second volume, there's been a few that my daughter's struggled to get too I think. It's a shame Viz don't make more of their series available as part of their Shonen app, I gather I could probably buy all the above digitally but my tablet (Huawei mediapad t3 10) really doesn't like recognising that you've stored anything on a microsd (and doesn't let you install any apps to microsd at all!). Edit: though a search on comixology only brings up Lone Wolf and Cub 🙄

wev
Woohoo, my comic stores Peterborough branch managed to get a copy of 20th Century Boys Perfect Edition volume 2! They remembered I wanted one and got a member of staff to bring it to the Bedford store for me to collect. In other news, started reading Chainsaw Man on the Shonen app, double-yah-tee-eff?
