Manga

Tite Kubo is pretty much the George R.R Martin of manga. Both Zombiepowder and Bleach were both slow burn stories that took a while to get going. Guess patience of the fans and the publisher eventually ran out. Maybe one day he'll be able to hint further at what happened behind the scenes with Bleach.

As people have said, the conclusion of the Aizen arc seemed a good point in which to wrap up but the popularity of the anime kept it going.

The Fullbringer arc was building to something before a sudden 3 week 'break' and a hasty conclusion.

Some stories around the 'net currently hint that Kubo had 10 years worth of story for this final arc plotted out only to be told recently that he had 10 weeks to wrap it up. Haven't seen a manga leave so many unanswered questions about its characters since Area D was forcibly ended.

Maybe there'll be a Kanzenban edition of the manga as was done for Shaman King to wrap up those loose ends one day.

Ah well, it was quite a ride while it lasted.

As someone who stick with it through the good and bad, I liked that ending a lot. I feel like it hasn't left any major questions unanswered, though there's stuff about the world I might have enjoyed more details on. The endless "we must see every Bankai and have a long boring description of exactly what every sword does" on Reddit is stupid, I'm happy to see the people and swords that were relevant to the story. Similarly, it's amazing how many people on there whine incessantly about Grimmjow not being shoehorned into every chapter whilst also whining about the fan favourites always being crammed in.

Overall, when read in one chunk it is a good story and I'm satisfied with the end.

Not read anything in a long time but I've started Inuyashiki and it's mental! It's about this fellow:

He's the loveliest person you can imagine and so I expected it to be fairly chilled and slice-of-lifey - but it's really not, it's the opposite. I don't want to spoil things but so far it's worth a read. Closest thing I can relate it to is:

Parasyte the Maxim, but way darker.

Read the first five books of 20th Century Boys after having it recommended by a friend, and I'm really enjoying it. Wasn't sure what to expect, but it's genuinely intriguing. Can't wait to read some more.

If you're enjoying 20th Century Boys, there's a good chance you'll like Urasawa's other works, Monster especially.

I'm reading My Hero Academia, I'm enjoying it a lot. It's like Eyeshield 21 mixed with Naruto. I'm nearly caught up though, looking for recommendations. I'm currently reading:

One Piece
Battle Angel Alita: Mars Chronicle
Berserk
Vinland Saga
Attack on Titan
One Punch Man
Dragonball Super
Boruto

My Hero Academia

Anything which is already finished that I might enjoy?

OK, here's some, although I've not finished reading all of these myself...

Gamaran

History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi

The Breaker / The Breaker: New Waves (both parts finished, although technically the story isn't, and the author & artist have now moved on to a new project, so we might never get an end for it)

And some that are still ongoing that I enjoy

Black Clover

The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor

Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatte Iru Darou ka (once you've caught up with that you can also read "Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatte Iru Darou ka Gaiden - Sword Oratoria" which runs parallel to the main character's story, following the sort of heroine's story, which actually might be the more interesting of the two.)

Shokugeki no Soma

One Piece is certainly getting interesting.

@Broker Hunter X Hunter is extremely good although not finished. However, you can read up to the end of the Chairman Election Arc and leave it there. The author is on hiatus atm and the next story arc has had a lot of set-up but is only just getting started.

Na, stop with Hunter x Hunter after the Greed Island arc. The Ants arc after it is a bit rubbish and where the author begins to go on hiatus, it's never really got good again since in my opinion sadly. Up to and including Greed Island though is fantastic.

I'm reading most of those Broker, so I can recommend:

Tower of God, like The Breaker it's Korean manga. Really good.

Blame! it's like Alita but better. The author's other works are great too.

Monster. Closest to Vinland Saga because it's adult.

20th Century Boys. Same as Monster.

Rurouni Kenshin.

Hunter x Hunter.

Has anyone else read Rainbow? It's great, a properly grim story about boys in a reformatory prison after WW2. Much grimness but real uplifting bro bonding stuff as well as they grow up. A hearty recommendation from me.

Yes! I read through it a few years ago after a recommendation. It's really good. Lots of 'feels'.
