Gotta get Scarlet to 120 tonight. Also, must get Fighgunner 10, so I am ready for Fighmaster, and can switch back to and finish levelling Acrofighter.

Anyone else be about?

I'll be off at 10:30 for Heroes, but back when it's finished.

I changed my type to FF after realising that WT is really a terrible match for a beast. The only tech I used regularly were resta and reverser, with debuffs being a bit naff, and all offensive spells not being damaging enough to be worth using. I actually found high evasion annoying in the end as well, it had a tendancy to take you out of PAs all the time when you'd be better taking the damn hit.

So, what weapons and PAs should I be focussing on as FF? I only have weapons useful for WT, so should I go for spears, swords, or axes first?

How much money do you have?

I'd suggest spears first - pick up a couple of 28%-ish Muktrands (9* Tenora) for 100k each, and Dus Majarra (30-ish PA Fragments);

Swords, Soda Ribans are dirt cheap these days, and Tornado Break (1k);

Axes are great for big numbers but not quite as good as spears for doling out speedy damage. Anga Redda is a great PA which, when you and it are levelled, will easily have you hitting 7,500 x2 on the last bit; Anga Jabroga is probably the 'best' PA for the axe though, despite sending things flying everywhere. I think it hits five targets twice for big numbers (not so big until you've got some levels on it though).

Er. I hope that helps?

[edit] As for tonight - I'm playing Forza at eight, should be on at about nine.

Yeah that's a great help, thanks dude. Gonna allow axes and spears for the moment (due to having no PA frags, and this not being the best time to grind for them) and focus on swords. Those Soda Ribans really are cheap! Though having played a bit those swords do seem a touch weedy due to the speed.

Anga Redda is Brutal, regardless of Jabroga. You wouldn't go wrong with a good Pikor and that to start with (I've got an Ice one in my shop that I can fish out for you if you want it, it's only festering in the player shops at a stupidly high price). Just avoid Durega until the PA update, as it's a complete DICK to level. and mainly involves prodding enemies around the place very slowly until you get the second bit.

Donk/Mood: I didn't join your party, as the one I enrolled in was *actually* good for once. it involved lots of Ubwaa, and apologising before using Paradis. and now it's time for bed. awwwwwwwwww [/orka]

I shall be on from about half 12 to 1 in the afternoon, if anyone's around.

I had a joyous time running lots of C missions as Hunter and Ranger on Forax to get them both to 10 to unlock all the other classes rather than just Protranser. Now I can be a Fortefighter, Fighgunner, Fortegunner, Acrofighter and probably some other naff things too. But Protranny is still only 16, need to 20 it first. Got my PM to 100 too, roll on the end of MAG for some mad synthing. :(

And Willei, you can trade 1 Gold W Badge for 3 PA Fragments, meaning that you can get them nice and easily during the event, I cashed in 99 Gold Badges and bought myself about 6 new skills the other day, it's great asides from Ikk Hikk, it's just too GAH HURRY UP AND HIT HIM YOU FUCKER AND STOP STAGGERING AROUND PRETENDING TO BE ...HOLY SHIT YOU BREATHE FIRE I LOVE YOU.

Or something like that.

Ick Hikk is great, although you really need an Acrofighter to level it before you go crazy. After that, a good Fortefighter with it = lol big numbarz.

However, Bogga Robado is STILL the boss when it comes to Fist PAs. Great percentages, levels quite nicely on any class and it looks like it was ripped straight out of Fist of The North Star, or some shit.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAATATATATATATATATATATATATATATA

Also: Exploding fists of awesome. AWESOME.

* Scarred Planet

* Lightning Beasts

"SEED Express" C-S2

With Mother Brain's corruption, a special train that runs between the Paracabana Coast area and AMF HQ has gone out of control. Stop the train and destroy Mother Brain!

"Mine of Illusion" C-S (rare free mission)

Following the discovery of Rykros, a mysterious mine entrance has been spotted by eyewitnesses, appearing and disappearing all over Parum. High nanotransformer activity has been detected in the area, but its cause is unknown...

New S2 difficulties

The following missions will receive S2 difficulties:

* Scarred Planet

* Lightning Beasts

* Electronic Brain

New items

Many new weapons and line shields will be released with the new missions. Also, Casino Voloyal's exchange counter will receive an update.

System updates

* Level cap will be increased to LV150!

Ooooh. We really need to get moving on our time attacks then, anyone want to give them a go this weekend? Sunday perhaps?

Also we still need person no. 4, nobody's stepped up to the plate yet - Anyone have an AF/FF/FI levelled on a high character? If not I can think of someone I could ask but I'm not sure whether they'd want to join us or not. More to the point I'd rather have one of you guys doing it.

I think the most important component other than levels and job levels is Dus Majarra at the highest level you can get it - even Fortegunner can use it at level 20 which is enough for the second part.

WHO WANTS TO PLAY

lol, Had a couple of goes at running Sleeping Warriors S2 as an Acrofighter (19/20). I seemed to obtain the same times that I was when I was a fortefighter before the class update, and that was just by mainly spamming nerfed Chikki at everything :(

Finally switched back to fortefighter, and had a pop at Tunnel Recapture S2. if it wasn't for the shoddy selection of weapons I brought and getting used to the FF speed again, I would have wasted the mission - once I got my groove back on (sorry), I was bollocking Drua Gohras in the FACE. However, it's still tough with the wrong combination of weapons - ended up having to Jabroga those spawns that had three Druas, and then run about to attempt to twat them with Bogga Zubba with light knuckles :lol:

I would imagine Fighmaster will change that, though. TURBO REDDA FTW!

We really don't need more than one protranser - the ATP isn't good enough really. The only solution I can think of is for me to go FF and you to Protranse with a few more levels under your belt. It'll take a lot of effort though, and I don't really want to go FF to be honest :lol:

Unless you fancy going FF temporarily? The extra damage would offset the lack of levels somewhat, if we got you up to 115/15ish then you should cope just fine.

Either that, or there's Dave as well - he's 130 but I don't know what classes he has, bar Guntecher (not a huge amount of use for time trialing unfortunately).

He's probably level 20 Protranser by now. maybe.

I need to play some runs with Siri today, I want to cap him now that the extension is out and about. and then focus on Millia - I've even done the worst thing imaginable for techers in the form of spending PA Frags on Megid.

OH YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH *fires balls of nothing at 9123473274 enemies to level up*

clearly, we need to ditch Tokky and have four Protransers instead. Richard, Donk, Forax and Dave.

We could call it RLLMUK PROTRANSER FUCK FORCE FOUR, and Sega will award us all Spread Needle Gs for our stellar contribution to the PSU community.

by dying lots.

18 Protranser and 1 Fortefighter. :lol:

I'm up for giving fortefighter a go after Peep Show (so around 11ish) if any of you want to be on and we can try speed runs, sort of, for quick MP with me at level 1 and not very high level PAs

Oh god, I've been carrying on with Sleeping Warriors runs while waiting for a party. eventually, my tiredness got the better of me (I've been up since 3/4am because of my body clock going tits-up), and I decided to call the run I was doing my final one.

got up to the svaltuses, went beast, and ripped through them. I saw a board drop, thinking 'coo, a Svaltus Sword board' and carried on the beatdown. mission completed, went towards the board.

(B)Psycho Wand.

82sw7zo.gif

Huge Cutter board dropped in the afternoon, which was nice - always wanted to make my own when the mission came out a year ago. Catilium dropped a fair bit as well, although Tunnel Recapture is probably far easier if you have a partner in crime.

Bulletdance get :lol:

Looks like our TT team is going to be:

Donk-Bot (PT)

Siri (FI)

Scarlet (FF)

Forax (FF)

We've been mostly breezing through the mission while hopping all over the place like frogs on acid tonight, with Willei and Forax in their new FF guise.

Tomorrow is 'Powerlevel Forax' day; speedrun practice on Sunday evening?

I would like to join in the Forax power leveling crusade - Siri needs those 20 last levels and class levelling before he can become totally effective. Otherwise, I'm forced to rely on RIchard for practice sessions.

Great finds, by the way - It's about time that Bulletdance dropped, and 3 million is a great price for a nicely grinded Slayic. :lol:

I've got myself some good fists now too, and Bogga Robanga or whatever it's called shits all over Ikk Hikk from a great height, or to quote Siri, AAAAAAAAAAAAAATATATATATATATATATATATATATATA.

Level 11 for sure tomorrow, so I'll get the second part. I don't think it's worth relying on the freeze trap jabroga method though, jabroga can be very unreliable for doing enough damage.

Also the rappies at the very start, probably the best thing to do is have you run over and lay 2 freeze traps below where they'd be spawning, while the other 3 of us take care of the boomas, so you can lock them into position pretty much instantly, and 2 freeze traps should be enough to take them to at least 50% health making them easy pickings for us.

I think I'll spam Bogga Robanga til 11 then get back to Gravity Break and try get it to 11 by tomorrow night too, for maxumum Bil De Vear destruction with my new sword. I liked seeing numbers as big as 3000.

Oh and what's the deal with Megastarides? I usually take damage after using them, but sometimes it goes away, are they just buggy or what when it comes to properly applying it, or does something make it stop?

It seems with Megistar(ide), it either saps HP for a minute or two, or until you get to about half of your HP. However, I find that certain actions which completely 'clear' status effects (not reverser) also gets rid of the HP sapping action of Megistarides - Namely, using SUV attacks (I think), or going Beast.

One of my favorites is to pop one and then go straight into Richard's beast form - allows you to smack around people much faster for those 30 or so seconds, and then as soon as Richard reverts back into Humanoid form he keeps the buffs with no harmful effects. it's perfect for Soloing, and I would imagine it works for Paradi as well when it comes to CASTs.

This was actually going to be my plan :lol: I think the first block will be pretty straightforward - stick together, traps on every spawn but the boomas... Siri is going to come into his own in Caves though, Tornado Dancing out of the first room to make a start on the Delp Slamis :D

I'm sure there will be some more alts coming out with the extension to MAG, although getting to 80 will mean S Runs, which most people are hosting every evening.

I'm on another cross-planet outing, shunning MAG for a minute - This time, it's Demons Above S2, now to be known as 'King Ollakas and their shitty friends'. Seriously, most annoying monsters in the game - take tons of hits to down if you're not using the opposite element, and the King causes the others to flip the fuck out and run around like there was an Earthquake in China or something.

Tengohgs are still sacks of meat that only purpose is to take lots of hits. Nobs.

Just doing a run with using a palette of Ice weapons though, and it seems to be going rather smoothly. Ageetas don't take much to go down, really.

Take guns, solely for the Tengohgs - flying+bullet resistance+high HP = twats. As for Ollakas, I found a swift grenade launcher shot or two took them off their feet which then opened everyone up for mass Majarra spam. If you're soloing though, then, er, piss.

Link to comment
Share on other sites

Ollakas are not as bad as I thought - Slicers and Spears of the right element rips through them, but Tengohgs are nobs. not only that, as I'm running as Fortefighter, so going to any other classes to get ranged firepower makes the ATP suffer.

Ran it three or so times, not much other than a Har/Quick.

I've only got a fire bullet for my B'duki Boa, though. for the same amount of PP that will be rinsed from that, I might as well use a Photon Charge for Majarra ;/

Nice to hear that Har/Quick is still selling for that much, though.

Went and bought another PA with my 'Should really be for another Pushan but I'm past caring' Badge fund - This time, the frags went on Yak Zangenga. Started to level the bullet while at Sleeping Warriors C, while hunting Relic Edges. It's quite fun to just pop Megistarides, let my HP get sapped to nothing and then one-shot everything in the face. It levels darn slow, though - one and a half runs to get to level 2, hopefully that will not increase as I go along the levelling up to 11.
