Bleh. Blew my first 50 PA frags on Boma Duranga - the one that kills you as I found out afterwards. And I thought the high PP cost was a big enough trade-off.

I find it to be worth it though, at lv23 it does over double the damage of my lv14 elemental bullet, off-element (not the best test, I know). Probably no good for soloing as you could burn through a stack of Trimates in no time, but I really really rate it.

I did some shopping last night - struck by jealousy over Marc's Needle Cannon I did a quick search for one just to see how much they were selling for these days - average price was about 15mil for a 1/9-ish - and there was one, broken to 3/3, for 2.5mil.

How could I refuse? It all went a bit funny from there as I picked up a Gur Asted 5/5 for 5mil and a Rabol Asted for 280k as well.

Marc's cannon should have finished cooking in my PM by now - fingers crossed for later!

Anyway, not much to talk about - Phantasm Prism is levelling quite quickly, which is nice. Finally cracked and bought some Arb Boa handguns as well, only 300k for a 0/9 pair. just need to wait for a 3 star luck day!

I remember Moodmon! I knew him from NTSC-UK. I think we used to play DOA4 together back in the day; he played a nasty Leon if I recall correctly.

Balance adjustments:

Adjustment of Photon Art "Chikki Kyoren-jin":

First combo attack modifier is changing from 202% to 161%.

Second combo attack modifier is changing from 342% to 182%.

PP cost is being reduced.

Sword adjustment:

The number of targets able to be hit by the sword's normal and skill attacks is going to be increased (I think :<).

Adjustment of Rifles:

Firing rate, damage, and accuracy of rifles will be adjusted.

Killer Shot 31's PP cost will be lowered.

Rifle bullets at 31+ will get higher level SEs (I believe)

Adjustment of Laser Cannons:

Firing rate of laser cannons will be adjusted.

Guntecher type adjustments:

Ability to equip S-Rank Wands

Attack technic cap raised from 20 to 30

TP modifiers will be raised

Photon Arts experience adjustments:

All Photon Arts will gain more experience when used.

Bullets will be adjusted in some other manner, but I'm not quite sure what they mean

You know what? I'm not sure if it's just because I've had a bad day at work or something else, but I'm really, really unenthusiastic about this game all of a sudden.

- There's no challenge any more - things die faster than ever and I die about 200% as much from Boma Duranga as I do from things killing me

- There's very little to hunt for that I particularly want or need - and the desire for 50% or 10/10 is nonexistent - it's nice to have but is it something I really need?

- I spend far too much time playing this game, and on top of that I spend far too much time thinking about playing this game. It's kept me sane for a good while during times when I've had no money but at the end of the day it's not a game I play for the wider community experience, and while you guys that I've been playing with are all absolute corkers, the nights when nobody is on (last night/tonight) I find myself not wanting to play PSU, but not really wanting to do anything else either - and that's really not good

- As good as PVP or Floader Racing sounds, do I really care?

- Levelling is inevitable - I feel like with even the slightest bit of organisation the game is reduced to a 'Click OK to Continue' situation rather than requiring any real level of skill

At the end of the day there's a lot of good stuff coming but the constant checking to see what we're going to get, when we're going to get it and being disappointed when it's not sooner than we expected is exposing the cracks in this game for me.

As it stands - I'm a bit bored of it. I need new content to keep me interested but if the content isn't coming quick enough I'm still addicted enough to keep grinding away at what we currently have - and to me that's not a good thing, games are for enjoying and at the moment my playing of PSU seems like more of an inevitability than something I want to do.

I'm going to sleep on it, as daft as that sounds - but I either need to continue or completely stop as playing less really won't work for me - trust me, it's me rather than the game.

I'll leave the option of coming back in a few months once more content is out open, but basically, to summarise this boring ramble: I might quit. If I do, yes you can have my stuff/yes I will gib rarz/whatever.

We'll see I guess.

While I don't want you to quit, if you feel you must then... You must. I know what you mean though, I do feel as if we've all been banging our heads against the level cap/PA cap/Job Cap brick wall.

Have a week or two off while waiting for the new batch of content (it might even be Max Attack G), then see if it still has that magic when you return.

I've been giving it a think and I'm going to try and exercise WILLPOWER (pathetic I know) and just cut down. A lot.

As the game stands there's not really a great deal here for me, all three characters have sufficient palettes and they're at levels that make it convenient to play with just about anyone. There's no update tomorrow as far as I know so unless anyone fancies a Parum world tour this weekend I'm just going to pop my head around the door a couple of times next week to keep my eye on the shops and come back and have a play with the new content when it eventually arrives.

Of course, if this proves to be ineffective (as I generally don't have a great deal of willpower when it comes to things like this) I'll have to have a rethink. But for now...

....Not really. But, BUT, I would have said to take a break from it until about a week before Maximum Attack G. I took a, from what I remember, reasonable break from it until 1UP came around, and that's when I posted at NTSC-UK for a party. And a certain person said 'LOL HAI' and that was that.

...Actually, going part time sounds dead good to me, actually. maybe on a lazy sunday, at least then I can finally tear through lost odyssey.
