Just spent that million meseta it was so nice having. But I do now have a Dori and a Uransara cooking up in my PM. Both on 81% success rate, so here's to hoping I get my second and third S ranks.

Also psycho wands are awesome, I should really be saving up for one...

Another thing I noticed, whet I searched for Psycho Wand in the condition thing, it showed no results, yet when i searched by item, there were quite a few results. What's going on with that?

'Wand' is a conditional search item - set the rarity to 9* and in no category, for instance, and it'll come up with a load of Majimras, Magical Wands and Serdotes.

Just search for 'Psycho' and it'll come up with all the boards and made weapons.

Good luck with the synths - are you considering going AT with the Dori?

In grinding news, I splashed out a hideous amount of money on an S+10 and took my Psycho Wand to 3/10 - you know how when you're grinding, if a grind is going to fail you can normally tell as there's a subtle difference in the way the bar goes up? Well, it looked like it did that when I went to grind it and I damn near shat myself.

Thankfully it all worked out in the end. 2040 PP and 1021 Tech. It's quite insane. Did a Diga (lv29 and NOT AS GOOD AS MARC'S) crit of nearly 4,000 earlier...

My Dori failed, giving me a Terseline. But my Uransara was a success, so it can replace my 0/8 Serdote.

I dread to think what a Ruby critical would look like. I can crit for 4k with my 10/10 Howrod, so with a Psycho I imagine it'd be just plain wrong.

Yeah, I imagine the 35 extra levels and Marc-ish Diga would make a fair bit of difference... 350TP (as a very conservative estimate) and whatever silly bonus you get for Diga 31? Yes please.

I'd like to find and synth the first one. After that then yeah, I'll buy more. But there are more Rods available, and on the way, that I'd also like, such as the Gaozoran Rod, Kazarod, Striker of Chao and the Alterazgoug Rod, so a pallette of 6 PW's will never happen. 2 or 3, yeah maybe.

So, last night, we found a 2-Headed Ragnus Board. went and synthed it on the off-chance that it might be better than the 36% one which I already made (from another board that was given out of charity, actually), and thought nothing of it.

Walked in Richard's room this morning to retrieve the also-brewed Creasword (no, really) and pulled the Ragnus out.

'50%'

According to player shops, a 50% without any breaks goes around the region of 10mil. Considering I fucking hate the look of the Ragnus anyway, I think I shall bung it in my shop tonight.

I just did a couple of quick runs with my FF and guess what dropped in the first one...

Kany Yu! And it went to the level 79 FT that was doing literally fuck all in the party and failing spectacularly at even keeping us buffed and healed.

Part of me feels to run that mission over and over until I get at least one of my own. So much for my grinded A ranks strategy.

My diga's weren't critting for 4000. They hit for about 2000 with my Halarod, critting for about 3000 just, I think.

Erk, a wave of curiousity came over me today to check the synth materials for a Carriguine-Rucar, and had a look at Carriguine Blades. What intrigued me was that Carriguines of any level drop them, so I popped over to check how many carriguines appear in all of the missions.

Grand total when you're soloing? one. in the final block of the first mission. So, it got me thinking - how can I blast through several enemies in a very short space of time, to get to said Carriguine?

The answer, so it seems, is a very popular one at the current time, for all the wrong reasons:

Yes, I finally picked up a decent Mechgun for 'ol Hawk while he's in Fighgunner mode. Only a 50k purchase due to market saturation (lollercaust), Rising Fury for another 5k, and that was about it.

From how I've used it so far, I'm finding it hard to justify why people glitch with the darn thing - it's mighty powerful on it's own, with Richard (Beast Fighgunner, don't forget) hitting 300-ish a shot with a level 1/2 bullet against enemies of the right type. With just short bursts, you can clear the first HIVE mission in 6 minutes of general Mechgun use.

...no Carriguine Blades, though. arf!

I mourned the failure of my Dori by doing more of the online single player. I now have Giresta. Only level 1... but still!

Arf, came across a Bargain on the Player shops - some kind Japanese fellow decided to stock a Carriguine Blade for 200k - which is about 19.8mil cheaper than the next competitor

Went and splooged the expected million to secure a Rucar board as well - all I need now is enough Goldania (which should be easy enough) and one, ONE more Carriguine blade. I guess if there's no hope, I could always chance on the player shops until another bargain comes across.

...anyone got a Carriguine Blade? ;p *carries on grinding Dark Satellite with Siri so that there's actually more benefits*

arf, the more I think about it, the less I want a Rucar - The only way I can justify it is through the S-Rank Double Saber Rainbow collection, but even then... I just don't like double sabers enough to sit there and willy-wave a whole palette of the things, because I know that the second I walk into the mission I'm stuffed

oh, and that the ATA is fucking terrible on it. TERRIBLE. you might as well use a gun as a Beast Fighgunner at that point. Actually, I think the Drumline has more ATA ;p

EDIT4SEXYMARC: The actual Carriguine-Rucar has a different name when it comes to the board, mainly because of text limitation.

Board: Carriguiruc

Weapon: Carriguine-Rucar

Item: Carriguine Blade

The main reason why the board is so cheap is partly because of the name of it and the general wealth of idiots that populate PSU can't find it through a normal search of 'TEH RAR DBLSAB0R', and partly because the chance of obtaining the Blade outside of the 1UP Cup's EX Mission is next to, well, nil. and nobody's running the missions to come across said monster anyway.

Oh balls. My Serdote just went from 3/10 to 1/5 without ever reaching 5/X using only +9s. GRM hate me. Bastards.

Oof. Unfortunately it seems like 5/X with anything that's not a +10 is difficult, and anything above 5/X with anything below a +10 isn't worth thinking about at all.

My grind pattern is normally A+1, A+4, A+7, A+9, A+10 onwards. It works mostly reliably up to 4/10 but anything above that appears to be a lottery unfortunately.

Went on a grinding frenzy this morning - grabbed my large cache of A Grinders (about 50 or so?), and grinded as many 8/9-star Weapons as I had up to 4/X. Thankfully, only one grind gave a synth failure noise! here's a rundown:

On Karin: 1 Vish Tien, 1 Buccaneer.

On Siri: 1 Buccaneer (the failed one - 4/9 in the end), 1 Phantom, 1 Drumline, 1 Magga Guin, 1 Bomber Noir (8* weapon - it's for the looks!), 1 Thunder Cannon, and 1 Arb Biso (bought a 0/9 for 50k, made it to 4/9!).

Ended up stopping when all I had left was A+8 and A+10 grinders. When I've done my afternoon stuff I'll probably make some more and start with the Ulteri and Force weapons.

Will anyone be on tonight? would like to level Siri some more, at least to be able to tag along in the high-end runs and claim EXP after the event.

Hello everyone

After a rather slow week on PSOWorld, Toxic recommmoaningended checking out this thread, and I gotta say its nice to see discussion that isn't people just moaning.

Probably better introduce myself firstly, my character's Fenix (my Gamertag is Fallen Phoenix) a female cast 120 FG / GT. I played with a few of you guys I believe (mainly Toxic, Donk and Siri) and possibly a few others whose name I don't recognise.

I have a ranged PM (who is available for use anytime) and i'm currently raising a striking PM on my alt. For the last few weeks I spent most my time Blackbull hunting, and due to good luck (and good mates) I somehow managed to amass 4 in varying states.

I'm currently on the hunt for another Blackbull board (don't ask), and a Cubo Musrana for my GT, so i'm running True Darknass and Train Rescue fairly often.

Anyway thats enough about me, back to lurking....
