So did Ikaruga sell really well then on XBLA?

I mean I'm certainly not complaining about Guardian Heroes (not played Silvergun personally), it's one of my favourite ever games, but I would never have expected to see an XBLA release for it. It just seems very obscure, and throws my cynicism about releases into slight disarray. What next? Nights with online leaderboards?

Every time I pop Sega Rally on for a quick race I immediately remember that it's just great. It's pure SEGA, and as I mentally check off the great XBLA versions they've done so far (Outrun, Afterburner, and this) it just makes me hanker for the same kind of rework of Super Hang-On, Enduro Racer, Thunder Blade, Space Harrier, Daytona.... etc, etc.

Such potential.

Are you using manual transmission? I struggled a couple of times in automatic, stuck it on manual and beat him first time.

You can pretty much play the whole game without going below fifth anyway!

Tried both MT and AT. I think I'm just shit.

Couldn't you practice on time attack?

It's locked, sadly.

Half-Minute Hero Super Mega Neo Climax - Dated and Priced

Half-Minute Hero Super Mega Neo Climax is an Xbox Live Arcade version of the similarly named (minus all the fluff at the end) retro-styled PSP RPG. The game will add a new "Neo Cartoon Mode" offering refreshed visuals. Other features include 62 new quests and online multiplayer support. A release is set for June 29, priced 800 Microsoft Points.

Radiant Silvergun Info. (still no release date)

Regarding Radiant Silvergun, the Xbox Live Arcade version of the Treasure Sega Saturn shooting classic, the magazine says to expect online and offline co-op play, HD visuals and the inclusion of both the arcade and Saturn versions. Pricing is set at 1200MSP, but it appears the magazine still lists a general 2011 release time frame.

Wow, so many weapons. So much of the screen not taken up by borders for a vertical shooter! Please be out in the next week! Buying a 360 was a great decision for all the Treasure goodness alone.

This is treasure though - it's brilliant they're doing it.

Nights is SEGA so either it'll never happen or they'll find a way to monumentally fuck it up. The only thing they got right so far was Afterburner Climax.

I'd kill for a Super Hang-On done right.

Also, you missed Power Drift from your list !!

The borders don't look bad to me at all. Especially since they've shoved the HUD over there as well. I've never played RS before though, so I have absolutely no idea how much those extra few inches matter.

I like the score on screen like the original, Im trying to remember if Ikaruga had the option to change.

Prepare to be disappointed.

I duno..Treasure are good with the details. I'm tempted to get my Saturn down from the loft and have a go now.

Oh I know, I just want an exact recreation of the original, with HD graphics, and no jarring borders.

so by "no jarring borders" you mean just having them black? iirc most of the cave ports let you have black borders and ikaruga lets you move the score display.

Yeah, black is pefect with the score in the display. Checked Ikaruga XBLA and it has options, but not to be like the original.

I still cant play it either, level 3 boss death every time. Much prefer RS.

I really hope that whatever the next Microsoft console is that these games can be transferred over to use on that. It would be a huge shame to see all these remakes and releases trapped on the 360.

Super Hang On is a great call, I never really got into it originally, and then spent ages playing it in the arcade on Shenmue :)

I'm sure that was "Hang On" - Super Hang On is even better :) Amazing music like all the best Sega Racers.

Massive fan of this on the old saturn and can't wait to get suck into it on the 360 .

As for the borders they look fine to me and I lke the way they've stuck stuff on them, kind of detracts from them actually being borders in the first place. Shame the screenshot doesn't do justice to all the crazy stuff going on it the background which made the Saturn version such a technical marvel in the first place but then I guess that just makes me want to see it in action even more :).

oh, you'd think if they've bothered to add a feature to move them they'd let you have them like in the original, oh well. although you'd also think they wouldn't mess up the tate mode for 4:3 screens.

i'm looking forward to giving RS a propper go in arcade mode, although i suspect i'll find it too hard and the chaining too annoying and retreat to the saturn version.

I can't seem to get anyrhing to appear in the store, and it won't even let me start the downloads from Xbox.com. Anyone else having this problem? I wanna try D&D!

Yep, same. It seemed fine earlier on, but D&D wasn't there. The most I've managed to get out of it is "There is a problem with the Marketplace, please try again later", or words to that effect.
