"Don't take advantage of the hacking!", he said.

Yeah, well I was so close I could smell it. Id probably be able to get ahold of one at a sensible price of 60k-odd from the player market if it wasn't for the stupid inflation. So, in this case, I feel justified in it.

Still had to hunt down Hyper and borrow 1k from him though :P

Boo!

Ill miss your company dude. Join us online again....someday :P

Incidentally, I can see myself burning out soon and I just can't keep playing most nights. I'm not going to disclose how many hours Ive played so far but it has been "a lot".

I'm suggesting that we start having two weekly meet-ups:

Low-Level Night: C and B missions.

High-Level Night: A and S missions.

Im sure we'd change things depending on who shows and stuff but I think its a nice start. What say you, and which nights are best for people?

I'm not sure what to do with this game. I got past the point of confusion with the game last week and was totally hooked after last Monday night, ended up playing it a lot on Tuesday and that night.

But after a couple of late nights I remember the major reason I gave up WoW, it basically writes the next day at work off for me. I can't concentrate at all and end up staring into space all day thinking how bored I am.

So I love the game but don't feel I can ever devote enough time to it to catch or keep up with everyone else.

I'll keep dabbling and see what happens, at least until my paid sub runs out.

I'll probably come back at some point, but for now it's just too much for me. I'm not into games like I used to be, which means I really can't be bothered to learn the system for everything in PSU. Running around and killing stuff while chatting shit with you guys (and gals) is never gonna be a chore but it's not worth £7 a month if I'm not playing regularly or properly. I'll still pop in here and get the gossip of course!

I Can't believe it... My 9 star axe board failed all three times. what a fucking waste. the board itself was 160k... and it took 10 megi photons, 9 mot ebon, and I think it was 6 stelnium and 6 vulcaline... and 12 hours per synth.

HOW MUCH MESETA DID I WASTE.

remember guys, when you synth something with 45% 3 times, you are still not guaranteed to win once. it is not 45+45+45.

Luckily both my 8 star boards worked fine first go so far. Got me some light knuckles and ice daggers.

May I suggest just the one meet-up day, only for the fact that there'd hardly be a full team, high or low, if we split the two? If turn-out remains good then we could split on different days at a later point? And I suppose those on low levels will eventually creep up into A missions, the requirements for Parum/Neudaiz A is quite low for example. We can decide the mission difficultly depending on who turns up. I think it's more important to meet up with everyone now and again...

How about Wednesdays (not this one), simply as its the middle of the week.

I think this is the best idea for the time being. PSO/PSU has always been an inclusive game and everybody is always welcome, regardless of level. This isn't some stupid MMO which forces people apart by design is it? :D

So, every wednesday shall be our weekly meet-up night, probably kicking off around 8-9pm until midnight or later. Come along one and all!

i just realised im on a recurring subscription for psu.

It says on their site that you can cancel it as long as you give 7 days notice before it renews - does anyone know if that means it cancels immediately? So you dont get those last 7 days that you paid for?

I will ask sega as well, just thought someone here might know

I doubt it cancels immediately since you've paid for that time already. I'll cancel mine tonight and see if I can still get on if you don't find an answer at Sega.

oh I'm a bit late for tonight. I don't feel like it. I'll make up for it tomorrow. I hope we get a sexy update. the rumours are we will receieve hive part one, the parum linear lines, and the melvore relics. at last.

this is because there are no more missions to S rank, and because this is how the japanese updates went, and sega said we are getting more S rank missions. which we can't, unless they are in new areas. see?

Indeed, those are the three we got:

HIVE: Located on Colony, back wall near to the Linear Line entrance. Not very good for EXP/MP but good for rare item drops. Bring your light weps

Train thingie: Located near the Cafe on Parum. Should be pretty good as it'll get us to the later Parum missions quicker, skipping the Dragon.

Cave place: Located at the end of all Moatoob runs. Should look similar to Bruces Dungeon.

For people on tonight I suggest a run (or two) through Hive, followed by Parum Train + Robot Boss, finishing on a Moatoob run to get us to the brand new lobby at evenings end.

sure I'll be on. I C ranked all the new missions today.

nothing much to say, but the new lobby is a bit bitching, and the Mines mission is full of traps and turrets, and gave me 15 mission points for S ranking it on C. that's a lot of points.

The new story mission is ok. it takes place in the access corridors.

The train mission seems very short and easy. Oh, it leads to the temporary underwater base. so gives you the option of endrum remnants or the crazy bees. Mellvore relics still isn't up.

the Hive mission is a bizarre mix of very weak and strong enemies. Oh, it's only the first part of hive too. hmm.

Had my computer tied up with downloading and checking over XNA stuff. Normal service resumed from today.

So, those new areas eh? The Hive and that Parum one were great, the one on Moatoob, was it really worth holding it back?

Seemed a bit daft, aye.

Because it comes after two missions its not likely that you'll be seeing it that much anyway (much like Endrum Remnants before) so it seemed a little odd. HIVE is really annoying - I played in two parties on that now on rank A as the only force of any kind and it's a complete nightmare. I'm draining at least 3 wands on Resta/Reverser + 1 PP Refill item.

I very much like that each new area feels like new and not another forest level or what-not. The variation in locations looks to be much bigger than prehaps I anticipated. I can't wait until we get a snow area.

On that note, Im hearing news that we'll be getting another three new areas on Friday which is nice. Alas, I shall not be around for the rest of the week and can only really come online either tonight or tommorow night. Peeps, let me know which.

Well I was with Mathilda, Monty, Be Bop and the Ragol Arms lot til midnight. Didn't see you on then...get on earlier!

Yes, De Ragus is a dragon, as is the boss at the new Neudaiz mission - it breathes zonde at you. The new Moatoob we tackled last night, is a robot, like the tough one from the second solo mission. It hit us pretty hard for a B ranked mission. Still nabbed an S!
