Yeah! Just a wander around the Guardian Colony with my test character!

About the options, where it says something like "do not save character on servers". The box is ticked, but when I logged out and back in, "Test UK" was still there. I'm confused. Anyways,...it works, so I'm happy!

No, no, no, sorry, that was the name I used to test my character. Nothing to do with the technical side. Just wondered over that option, see. :)

How do I get to universe 15 - I've been dumped in 4?

There's a colourful red blob thing near the elevators (in the blue Coloney area, with the fountain), use that. Will be there in around 20 mins for yer card...

This thread could get confusing with random posts from the PC/PS2 people and the 360 people getting mixed in together. Maybe a 360 only thread should be started and this one left to the PC/PS2 contingent? That's if there are enough people to populate it? :)

PSU is off to a good start. I'm getting used to the interface, and the game itself is just like a romp through any of the old PSO levels, but prettier. Mufeta the cast is up to lv9 and my PM just made me a nice new Sabre to play with next time. See you tomorrow sometime, no doubt!

Thanks to the peeps who I played with last night, t'was a great opening salvo into the confusing world of PSU! Thanks to acidbearboy for the patience as I acted like a tit, losing the party on occasion. Got the structure in head nailed now, just about!

Just sorted out my busy inventory for this afternoon, so if anyone's got my card, or sees me about, give us a shout!

Nice meeting most of you yesterday - it was definitely a lot of fun even during the short time I played. The menu system seems ultra confusing compared to PSO (I can't seem to multitask in the menus while moving anymore), but I trust Gorf when he says it'll become 2nd nature soon.

The best thing is that lots of people are playing it - after playing the Xbox version or such a long time it's a bizarre feeling to just bump into people and have people constantly moving in and out of parties.

"Bethany" is back, PS2 version. I assume a USB keyboard works on the PS2 too? There's no mention of it in the manual...

Yes, it supports USB and it's essential really even for just the menu shortcuts of the F-Keys. Ill be online again Sunday evening so Ill see her then or try MSN'ing up acidbear and get those cards swapped!

Awesome, thank you sir. I have relayed times (I feel like an instant messenger at times), she will most likely see you online (got a keyboard today too, £5 from Tesco).

The problem is that the navigation buttons are on the dpad rather than the right stick (which is now for camera control). I've not managed to find a way to get around this. I have however worked out that you can swap between weapons/items without using the dpad. Just open the pallette and then the L and R buttons should navigate you through the available options. I played a little more today, getting to level 10. The interface is now pretty familiar, if not perfect.

right, i've got this game now, i'm all set up, but it seems i cant connect to the server - i'm assuming its a problem their end... anyone else having problems today?

Glad to see you invested, look forward to seeing you online. I'd guess that the problem was your end though, as I've been online most of the afternoon with no problem. I seem to remember reading something about firewall settings, make sure the game guardian (?) software is not blocked.

What is the plan for Sunday?
