Worth repeating again. Joypod is a fucking delight. You can put that on the back of the box. I'll even buy you a box if you don't have one.

I subscribe to a total of 9 podcasts and Joypod is by far the one I look forward to the most. 2 hours of quality conversation. Superb.

It was pretty classy of that one guy to tell Patrick that his father dying was the best thing to happen to Giant Bomb in ages. As great as the site is their community is almost GameFAQs level of tragedy.

The forums aren't too bad, but the comments on (generally, the non-premium) videos are pretty... yeah. Full of fuds.

I often wonder how these loud-mouthed think they are qualified to chat about the worlds most beautiful hobby. When I rule the multiverse, you won't be allowed to have a podcast until you have at least 100k gamerscore, and the games that make that up must be varied across all genres. No playing 100 CoD games, or only hipster games-as-art stuff.

Anyone can chat about anything, that's the beauty of podcasts!

I will forever miss Steve and Nick* but I've really come round to Famous over the course of his time on it. I thought the progresscasts were a bit empty but the last few and especially the Quakecon one have been really good. I hope we get some good Dark Souls chat soon with the PC release due this week, I always wanted to hear theie take on that but it came out when they were on hiatus.

* Fuck Nick.

Annoying logical fallacies and straw-man arguments over people not liking Dust's art aside*, this week's Bombcast is pretty good. Particularly the transformers discussion.

As for Idle Thumbs... I feel they've not quite hit their stride yet since coming back properly. Mostly that's down to a lack of interesting games to discuss, I feel. They're at their best when deconstructing an unusual or complex game.

*Not liking it = hating furries = homophobia or something. And means you're not allowed to like anything else that has cartoon animals. See the Dust thread for my thoughts on that game :S

Not sure that qualifies you as a podcaster, a sad bastard definitely.

I've not been able to bring myself to listen to this weeks Bombcast yet all the way through. I started, heard the er... dulcet... tones of Klepek, sighed, turned off.

I've given Joypod a go on my commute the last couple of days. And I like it. I listened to a couple of recent episodes, the brief chat from an episode about a month old about 'Jacobs Ladder in the car' had me smirking on the station platform like a crazy person.
