Not really gaming related, but does anyone who listens to Tested find it really annoying that they're cramming all these mythbusters things into the feed? :(

I like Tested and Mythbusters, and the two together is awesome, but I don't really want to listen to 30 minutes on vacuum forming.

I'm hoping now that they seem to be making progress on becoming a real company again with the new office that we'll see more improvements to the site with a separate feed for the Adam Savage podcast and ideally better tagging for the videos. After watching the first video featuring Jamie with his electric outboard motor I'd certainly be interested in a semi-regular podcast featuring him.

Anyone else finding Gerstmann is making GiantBomb borderline unlistenable lately? DARK SOULS IS A BAD GAME. GAME OF THRONES IS A BAD SHOW. I'M GOING TO TALK ABOUT THE GIZMONDO FOR TEN MINUTES AND YOU'RE GOING TO LISTEN. etc. Worse still is his insistence on trying to prove his knowledge every 30 seconds by dropping a slightly more obscure reference than the one a previous person gave, even if it's not his turn to talk and ruins the flow of the conversation between the other guys.

Also top marks to Midnight Resistance for calling him out the other week - "sold it back to gamespot, like a special man" :lol:

It doesn't help that rllmuk automagically makes youtube links into embedded videos (the link would have shown off the 'special' comments better).

Also, it's not as bad as I thought! I got this in my email this morning:

Ahaha, you got mentioned on the latest Joypod. Apparently David Turners thought you were accusing Sean and Pete of being homophobic in their Under the Blanket video

So I thought you'd gone "OMG MINKEE IS A MASSIVE RACIST" when really it was just "Some guy on rllmuk is silly" "No he's not"

The latest episode of GiantBomb is a train wreck. They spend about two hours talking about shite (yes, two minutes more shite than normal!) going over exactly the same content which was already covered (better) in the last Tested podcast, and then Gerstmann makes an utter cock of himself by loudly proclaiming every Valve game to be shit, or thereabouts. The worst thing is, Patrick isn't even back yet. He's still on his honeymoon being skin-crawlingly try-hard over twitter.

I quite enjoyed this weeks Bombcast, but then I've largely stopped listening to it primarily for game talk, and more for a few hours of entertaining listening with guys I genuinely find (usually) fun to listen to.

Will Smiths description of what you might require to just go get some liquid nitrogen had me genuinely snigger on the train to work - 'lookin' non-litigious'.

It's going to die on it's arse again when Klepek returns. Even with the quiet run for gaming recently and lots more talk about random shit, it's been fun in his absence.

Well both episodes weren't as good as Half Life 2, and Half Life 2 does have pacing issues, sooo...ah, wait, it's Morrius. Never mind.

I liked the bit where he said 'Left 4 Dead is fucking boring' despite waxing lyrical about how great it was in several previous podcasts.

Then you say 'I got bored of it', you don't loudly state that 'left 4 dead is fucking boring' as a fact, unless you're trying to be inflammatory or you're a cock. Oh wait. The man is an insufferable idiot and has been for years, but his rambling willy waving about rooms full of shite gaming paraphernalia and shite old arcade machines are really starting to grate. I put up with him for the others, but having Brad pop up on Tested has made me realise just how much I dislike Jeff (and Patrick), and how they're increasingly tipping the balance towards 'unlistenable'. I liked it when it was a cult games site with personality, not a cult of personality with games.

Oh Jeff definitely has awful taste in everything (I think he's ultimately something of a redneck who managed to succeed, tbh), seems to be overly jaded, has a tendency to give games 4 star reviews then a few months later talk shit about them, and has decided that he hates things with zombies.

He entertains me a lot though.

(Drew, Vinny, Dave and Brad are the best of the GB guys).
