In Joypod 51, a joke was made about women listening to it while doing the dishes.

I am a man and I actually listen to it while doing the dishes.

hahaha, while editing the show i thought to myself "Hold on, I listen to most podcasts while doing the dishes"

Lol. I'm also so guilty of this. I often clear the family out of the kitchen after eating so I can listen to my podcasts :)

The GFW reunion is ace so far. The first half hour is full of sentences that begin with "when I was a kid" or "when I was younger" followed by embaressing stories, which is everything you want from GFW (though Ryan's typically start "earlier this week..."). Then it goes into some really interesting discussion about working as a developer vs the press.

Man, wish they'd meet up once a week to do this.

The Brodeo reunion is great. I didn't think it would be since I got very bored with the This Year Collection and thought my fond memories were mostly rose-tinted glasses, but they're generally entertaining together and immediately ended up falling into discussing the same topics that they would have on the show.

The bit where Shawn is basically cheering the group harassment of a mentally disabled person is fucking horrible though.

Just got around to the GFW reunion. So, so good. ^_^

Looking at how popular it is on Geekbox.net compared to other episodes of The Comedy Button is insane. They have those little Facebook/Twitter/Reddit buttons under every episode and The Comedy Button is averaging about 10 tweets/20 Facebook likes per show. GFW Radio reunion? Almost 900 tweets and 1000 Facebook likes. :lol:

Yeah, I was listening to it in Morrison's and the shopping was more interesting than the opening half hour of Patrick Klepek and some Gamespot guy I've never heard of before blethering on and on about web content platforms and which US publications they have worked at in the past and for how long. Ryan couldn't carry it.

Klepek is the weakest part of Giant Bomb. He's not at all naturally entertaining and charismatic like the other guys, and he doesn't make up for that with incisive insight into games, interesting stories or general intellect. That's fine, when you're not a dominating, rather pompous voice in an entertainment/chat format. He really needs to be on camera/mic much less often - their web design/engineering guys like Dave and Drew are a much better fit for the podcast, even.

Also, he never shuts up about the massively overrated Sword and Sworcery EP.

Compare with the excellent Jar Time with Jeff video podcasts - can you imagine Klepek doing a completely engaging and interesting two hour one-man podcast like that? :blah:

Alright chaps, Episode 8 of Chet And Jon's: Doing Backflips For Star Wars is up. The ludicrously awesome Elmo is a fan, maybe a couple of others here will dig it. Also, we're doing a bit of a Facebook 'like' drive, as ugly as it is, so if you go to www.thefiniteplaylist.com and hit Like, you'll be in the hat to win Rayman Origins on PS3 (when we hit 100).

Am I allowed to say I hate Giant Bomb here? I have no time for hosts who think they are celebrities. NEG AWAY!

In general I like much smaller podcasts - Brake for Frogger, Sonic's Ring, Cane and Rinse, Gamewank, etc. All UK shows too. There's too much zanieness by far on the US casts.

I hate it as well to be honest. I really liked it when it started out, but lately it seems all they try and do is be funny all the time, and it is more miss than hit for me. They just seem to be up their own arses these days - apart from Ryan. I wish he would do more TANG episodes.

I have watched a few quick looks lately and they just waffle on about any old crap hoping that somewhere along the way they will say something amusing. Vinny (who I fucking despise) was just repeating "I am alive....I am alive" over and over at the start of the I Am Alive quick look. It wasn't funny at all...it just made me want to punch him in the mouth.

It's just a wonderful podcast. Some times i wish you'd go into game a little more and make the show longer but then i just think it's perfect the way it is. The show is built around you speaking about games as you play them and not just banging on about one game for ages.

It also helps that you're both funny and easy to listen to.
