I see there are people (not here, elsewhere) unhappy about this, because they used a kickstarter. How dare they offer people the option to help them produce something that will be free? Internet entitlement phenomenon is getting out of hand.

Just some forum I was on. No logic or reasoning given, beyond the irrepressible urge to whine about something good. "Waah, I could do it for 50p via Skype, what do they need the money for? waaaah". The idea that people might receive some money to enable them to produce something entertaining is anathema to this mentality, it seems, and it makes me wonder about society.

Plenty of (great) podcasts are full-time pseudo-commercial operations, with advertising or repeated demands for donations to pay the bills with, or fees to access back catalogue. It's only fair when you're getting free entertainment which costs time and money to produce, and which takes at least as much talent and dedication to do well as a good radio show.

Anyway, enough negativity. This is my favourite podcast ever, and I'm excited.
