iTunes doesn't appear to have the Giant Bomb Game of the Year podcasts. Is there any other way to get them on an iPad, clicking download MP3 takes you to a stream page, but then you can't do anything else while listening to it.

Itunes got it for me, downloaded as normal.

Weekend confirmed goes to new lows this week, garnet should be banned from the room when girls are involved. Mind you the first hour is pretty much a dull snoozefest and where it isn't it's cringe city.

I've been clicking that link. You can listen to a streaming version, but then you have to stay on that page and can't use the iPad for anything else, clicking the iTunes link take syou to the Giant Bombcast page on there and the 20th Dec is the last one it appears to have. I'll just have to wait until I'm back at my PC I guess.

I've been finding myself going to Giant Bomb less and less these days. I don't think it's a coincidence that this has coincided with the decreasing frequency of Vinny's appearances on Quick Looks and the like. The dream team of Vinny and Dave needs to be assembled more often.

Giantbomb's final GOTY podcast is up. 4 hours long.

I think the GOTY podcasts are probably the worst things Giant Bomb has done all year. I listened to two and a half of them and switched off today. I was on the M40 when they spent 20 minutes debating the semantics of what "sequel fatigue" actually meant, and I was tempted to drive my car into the central reservation at 90mph. I get why they are doing them, but I think I'd just rather read the results.

Really enjoyed this week's Midlife Gamers podcast. Once again, I cannot stress this enough, if you've been burnt with shitty podcast recommendations before, just take a chance on this one and give it a listen. It's just two guys, talking, yet it's wonderful. There are so many lessons in it for other gaming podcasts about how to construct a show and how to act when delivering it. It's awesome.

I feel Andrea Renee brought down Ariel Angelotti in that episode of weekend confirmed as she's been a witty and very capable host on her own show PixelJunk Radio for quite some time, but didn't get much of a chance to prove it. Since I heard she was moving back to the US, I was hoping she might make Weekend Confirmed worth listening to again, but it's a shame, that show just can't quite seem to get there.

I really, really hope Idle Thumbs comes back. I even tried Giant Bomb (again) whilst in search of a replacement, but it opened with twenty five minutes of guffawing twats talking about what food they'd been pushing into their faces over thanksgiving.

With Dark Zero and Idle Thumbs out the picture, and A Life Well Wasted appearing once every blue moon, there are no games podcasts I can stand to listen to for more than five minutes. It's rubbish.

I haven't got round to last week's Weekend Confirmed and then one for this week has popped up. Meanwhile I'm excited to keep up with Giant Bomb's daily output and I think I get enough gaming talk out of Joypod and Giant Bomb that I can probably drop everything else.

It's sad, as my first gaming podcast was hosted by Garnett Lee.
