I was wondering what had happened to Todd. Is there any word on whether he'll be coming back?

I couldn't see anything on his twitter about it, and assumed he was too busy travelling with LDM, so hopefully he'll be back sometime! I think Mike Suszek was a good addition too.

As for the Joypod Christmas special for those who care, the mighty Xibxang had to pull out. His work commitments are mental which would explain his lack of podcasting this year. Really bummed out about not having him on the show.

Having said that, i'm looking forward to recording because i think we've got a great line-up: Me, Michael, Sean, Ratso and Uzi.

FUCK! :( Disappointing news there. I'm sure the show will be great sans Xibxang, but....DAMN! :(

Thanks so much for the invite on Elmo, the last time I was on with you and Michael was the 2008 xmas special I think, so really looking forward to it. Shame xib can't make it, but I'm am really looking forward to being on with Ratso for the first time!

I just wanted to post to apologise to the guys who have stuck by me over the years, the way I joined up with Gamerdork again and more or less stopped again after two episodes was somewhat shameful. I intended to do more, but mine and Xib's schedules kept clashing and then he got his new job. Haven't even had a chance to listen to rerolled yet, but it is unlikely you'll find me much on that as with Xib alone I could run the risk of coming on unprepared to a show and not have to worry too much about fucking it up, but I can't do that to someone elses gig now :lol: Anyway, really sorry for the false hope, wasn't meant to be.

But I'll always love you guys :wub:

It's definitely got the best jingles in the business.

My girlfriend HATES my podcast. She never listens and hates the fact I spend one night a week recording, editing and publishing but I've totally got her with the jingle! She loves the fact people like it and it's the only one we've actually done. All the others are from listeners and I love them!

Just chiming in to say it's really sad there will be no more Darkzero. Feels like Giantbomb and Joypod are the only real podcasts left from a huge list that existed in another time :(

Although I have just spied in my itunes list there was an RPS episode released 2 weeks ago \o/

What!!!! Sorry to hear that, one of my fave podcasts - many thanks to all involved for producing an always enjoyable show.

Listened to all the new Gamerdork rerolled episodes and that's enough for me, reluctantly unsubscribed. It's just too far removed from all the things I liked about it now :(

Is it your girlfriend who sings the jingle for Michael's Hate Cellar? I still can't tell what she's singing.. something about "Michael's mad", but then it sounds like "bad" and "dad" so doesn't make sense :)

It is! "Michael's mad, Michael's sad and he's Ang-er-ry to, Michael's mad and he loves to moan. Michael's mad, Michael's sad now he's got a place to express his views."

Edited the first half of the Christmas show tonight. Hoping to have this online on Monday. Will let you know when it's up.

Just to bring back the whole, "Where in the world is Chris Remo?" conversation, seems he has indeed left Irrational and is back in San Francisco to do... something. Steve Gaynor has left, too, although he's moved to Portland so I wouldn't read too much into the events overlapping.

I doubt an Idle Thumbs revival is at the top of Chris' to-do list, but you never know what might happen down the road. There's certainly enough of a possibility for it to tear you up inside.

Three episodes in and this is turning out to be a really well put-together podcast. Episode two was a visit to Minecon, episode three a visit to the #indieVisibility awards in London. Each is only 20min long but remain insightful where they could so easily have become self-obsessed and shallow. It helps that host Ben Milsom is a smart interviewer - that, or their producer is a wizard who makes everyone look amazing.
