Might? It's a must. What was it last year? Something to do with Numbers but i can't remember what it was all about.

Nothing beats the "Don't marry her" though.

Edit: oh shit, didn't you say something about our listeners should go out and take drugs?

You can listen to the backlog of GFW Radio. THE greatest video games podcast of all time.

Shame it's not still going, i'd dip in at the most recent one and then listen back to the rest of it was the case.

Ok, i'll give it a shot.

I'm not sure why i've been negged - I really, really loved Idle Thumbs, found it a perfect balance of deep and interesting discussion of games and lulz. If it came back i'd willing pay for it. I looked forward to every episode.

Specifics please. Just "them", or are Ryan and Anthony joining them?

Anthony and Ryan are on the final Gamespy Debriefings episode and, apparently, will be on the new podcast that they talked about. Ryan said that he wouldn't be on every episode of the new podcast. Scott Bromley mentioned a few times that Ryan and Anthony were the heart of the podcast etc; I think he realises that they're vital to keep things somewhat on track.

Whatever you thought of the Gamespy Debriefings, I guess the funding approach that their new podcast is taking is kind of interesting. Specific dollar amounts to get your name read out, be a guest on the show or even visit a theme park with the cast(!) makes a change from a generic "donate" button on a site.

With 29 days to go they already have "$14,920 pledged of $6,000 goal" so I guess that means that it's going ahead...

Scott Bromley is on the new episode of The Geekbox.

Have only listened to the first 5 mins and Karen is quite the audience for him. Unsurprisingly it is encouraging him further.

However just read this on The Geekbox's own forum topic on this new episode:

New Gamerdork is up on the site with the new presenter.

Sorry to say its not Uzi making a triumphant return. Seem like is just one of Xibs mates to be honest and they shoot the breeze, only 40 mins in so not writing it off completely.

Oh and if you werent sure you get a great description of what a Megadrive is..

Looks like a lot of changes at the GD, Ratso gone, the site is now plastered with a huge advert, joined up with Character Select network and the forums are closing at the end of the month as well.

Good luck with it all i guess.

The BF3 adverts are part of a contractual obligation that originates from the CSN. The Games Tribe is the (sort of) backbone of the CSN and they do the occasional promotional site takeover on each of the members' blogs. It just so happens to be GamerDork's turn just now. Hope it doesn't annoy anyone too much.

It was really close with Uzi when I was thinking about a new podcast partner. We did a fair bit of talking about it and it was a tough call to make. However, I've been wanting to do the "recording with someone in the same room together" for years and this was my opportunity to try it out. The new guy's totally brand new to podcasting and we're still finding our feet with but I'm hopeful that it'll all gel together soon. I'm also trying to peel away from chasing the professional podcasts out there and to distill it down to two mates in a room, talking about all sorts of gaming from the past and present. I'm no gaming expert and I never will be but I love them all the same. I'm hoping this shines through from both of us once we've pinned down our formula.
