So I've re-entered the PC gaming fray. Any particularly good PC gaming podcast out there? I'm sure I've heard good things about the PC Gamer podcast, but I've no idea whether that was the UK or the US version!

US one is far superior to the UK one. Excellent podcast. UK one isn't bad but they tend to waffle and derail a good conversation for the sake of poor jokes.

Three Moves Ahead concentrates on strategy and RPGs, more serious but no bad thing.

Something extremely odd going on with that GFW compilation... I've tried several times to download it this past week and every time it starts at a rate of knots, then at about 15% done it drops to almost no speed and essentially freezes up. Any mirrors out there?

Will listen to this. I hope it features the bit where they basically take the piss out of Games For Windows when it changed to GFW Radio. I was worried it would die at that point but they never let that happen :)

We've always had a fantastic relationship with Gamerdork. Our communities seemed to cross over a lot and it was always fantastic to read tweets that stated they loved listening to both shows. Gamerdork was a personal must listen for me and knowing that i wont be able to hear Xib and Ratso chat away anymore sucks. Our Christmas shows were always really fun to be a part of too, i'll bloody miss that this year.

Having said that Gamerdork is still strong and it's moved on before and will do again. It'll be itneresting to see where Xib takes the show next and I look forward to its return. I'll also be looking out for Ratso's next project. The two shows will be great, i'm sure. As i said on twitter, there's far too much talent there for them not to be. It's jsut a great shame that we wont hear these two chatting away with each other any more.

Glad I saw this thread - I was thinking about 1UP video podcasts this morning and I'd like something like that again, I really enjoyed it. Anyone know of a good all format video podcast with similar production values?

I know it got a bad rap in places but I quite liked their enthusiasm :blush:

Gamerdork only really tends to be the podcast I listen to these days, so it's a great shame to hear that Neil and Leon won't be chatting away anytime soon. Always felt they have a good rapport, which made for an interesting show.

Just finished listening to Gamerdork 90, the live show from Dorkapalooza :(

All sounds good up to just a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah, in the next one they talk about future plans about Gamerdork, so it is a surprise.

Definitely need to keep the Joypad / xibxang Christmas specials, podcast highlight of the year :)

A thousand times this! These were one of the few podcasts that genuinely made me laugh out loud.

God, seriously, is there anything decent out there?

I listened to a few minutes of Digital Spy UK (?) or whatever it's called and wanted to dash my brains out with a brick.

Can't stand the one where they talk about fizzy drinks for an hour at the start.

Everything I have listened to over the years just seems crap next to Thumbs.

What should I try next?

You can listen to the backlog of GFW Radio. THE greatest video games podcast of all time.

Totally. Last years's I settled down on New Years Day evening with a few drinks and had that on. And the previous year I was stood waiting for a bus in the dark with that lot for company. Keeping my fingers crossed.
