I stopped listening to their show a while ago due to the grating, transatlantic, Friends-influenced crap that comes out of the beardy one's mouth but, listening to the Digital Cowboys on this weeks Gamerdork reminded me of how concerning the sensible one of the pair's speech is. He often gets muddled saying simple words and he slurs quite a bit. I think he needs to visit a doctor. I'm not sure i'll even be able to finish this episode of Gamerdork, actually - it does seem to really dip in quality when they have any guests on.

What you're hearing there is Tony's diagnosed dyslexia manifesting in his speech. Believe me when I say that he's painfully aware of it but chooses not to let it stop him from 'public speaking'. I feel that his warm, intelligent commentary transcends any potential irritation.

Sorry about that. We were replying to an emailer but it might have been better to just respond to the email direct. It's hard though as we always get complaints about missing emails out. We try not to be preachy, and more honest but we might come off a bit up our own arse when we repeat the same old stuff in response to the same questions.

What we are trying to say is that podcasting is a fantastic hobby but a time consuming one, while also warning that you get a shit ton of abuse no matter how the podcast sounds. It's something people don't realise going in and is a bit of a shock when it first happens, but it shouldn't put you off podcasting, you know?

We'll try and cut down on replying to podcasting questions on the show.

Listening to Brad having his mind blown on the Bombcast this week by the brilliance of The Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy took me back to being a kid listening to the whole thing on Radio 4 over the space of a couple of months (it was the book at bedtime if I recall) and thinking it was the greatest thing ever. I have only ever listened to the radio play, and I think it must be almost 20 years since I did, but the talk on the Bombcast made me want to listen to it all again, in the original radio play format. It's about 50 quid online for the complete series (though its really only the first three books which are works of genius) but I wondered if there would be on YouTube. I found this remake, which seems to be pretty faithful to the original. Ambient background noise, silly sound effects and music beds add so much to the story. :wub:

Don't listen to this week's Gamespy Debriefings. Not unless you want to work yourself up or dislike American society more than you might already do.

That's one angry Mexican with an axe to grind. Plus it says how well run the games media are if they'll send a member of staff away for several days, have them be in an aircraft for 28 hours total, for a two hour interview and game presentation.

Oh god yeah, that Swedish rant was just uncomfortable and downright racist in parts. I would have expected better from him. He just wouldn't let it go. Bromleys part, well that's about as offensive as saying potato in an irish accent, so no issues with him, but Anthony... for shame. :(

Throughout it all, I couldn't get what his actual problem was with the country. Sure it's expensive (read as VERY expensive), but the people are lovely. I've come to know so many Swe's from playing WoW for the past 5 years, never had an issue with one of them.

The first of Giant Bomb's E3 podcasts has finally made an appearance, clocking in at a modest 3 hours and 21 minutes...

I take it the podcast ends with a paramedic saying "jeez, how much did these guys drink? No, I'm getting nothing" before stopping the recording.

I've not listened to it yet so I'm not sure. I fully expect Leigh Alexander to turn up at some point during the next few days though.

I really hope that this year's podcasts aren't like the drunken clusterfucks we were treated to last year. I remember GB's podcasting from a couple of year's ago being really good, but 2010's effort was atrocious.

Most of them arent game related, of those which are I guess the CAGcast is worth checking out. A lot of people seem to think CheapyD is a dick, but he makes me laugh and I like his website.

Glad to see I'm not the only one still hanging onto the Idle Thumbs subscription.

God, I miss it. :(

I had it on in the house earlier, no drunkeness, no arseholes. Its just the audio from Giant Bomb's live stream on Justin.TV. They are doing something every night this week, you can catch it live if you are up at 7/8am.

About an hour in and they gave a shout out to CapwnAdam's fake Molyneux Twitter. :D

Feels bit neutered though, they have two guys from Microsoft there and it feels like they're treading on eggshells around them so far.
