You knew I wanted the legs Sith, I did say as much on Vent. All too late now anyway, and I doubt I'll get the chance to get them again as theres usually a druid in the party when we goto Zul Gurrub.

I know.....

I didnt even roll before they appeared in my bag what the hell can I do about that?

Necroid was well dopey saying FFA before asking if anyone wanted em.

You need to PvP man!

Nothing is more rewarding than popping out of a stealth amongst a 5 man flag defence group, killing their flag carrier in 8 seconds of instant attacks and returning the flag before being set upon... and then the *bing* of your side scoring. It's ace!

You seemed to be getting pretty good at ambushing their carriers and returning the flag last night. And our ability to lock up WSG for nigh on two hours did not pass uncommented on the realm forums. :unsure:

My new frost spec is - as I mentioned on Vent - absolutely awesome for PvP, especially WSG. If I get a warrior or rogue on me, a quick Frost Nova puts them in their place while I get away. Half the time they either lose interest or are 'acquired' as a target by the rest of the group, depending on where they find me. On defence, saving the novas for whenever someone thinks they have a shot at lifting the flag while we deal with someone else is often a nice surprise for them (especially if they break it early and I use Cold Snap to fire another). My rank 1 frostbolt now only takes 1sec to cast - leaving the Presence of Mind I'd previously have used to slow someone to be combined with a more damaging spell. Hit quite a few of their would-be scorers that way.

Just wish I could dispel magic and save you the embarrassment of the hunter's mark.

(30-40 people bunched up 'for protection'... PoM-Flamestrike FTW. Even if it has less chance to crit now.)

On the topic of macro traps.

The hard rule with any Macro is that it may not cast more than 1 spell EVER - so you could not Feign and Lay a Trap in a single Macro (unless there's an exploit for this) - let alone Flare before doing it.

You can emote, chat, change targets and so on as well as cast 1 spell - but only 1 'spell' is possible - additional spells are ignored.

On the topic of Stealth Detection...

I've no idea on stealth detection in PvP but I can confirm that Track Hidden and Flares are near-useless in PvE - they don't even see the hidden things in DM (and they're low Level 50s in many cases) so...

On the topic of noobs

Breaky and Stiff ahve always toldme I'm a noob and will always be a noob - and so where that leaves the magic Shaman twins here I've no idea :D

Hidden things in DM? Only things i can think of are the ghosts in west, which are invisible, rather than stealthed (so detect hidden wouldn't work on them, but the warlock detect invisibility does).

I'm guessing he's talking about the satyr rogues in DM East, but I might be entirely wrong.

The way I understand it, you CAN put several spells in a macro, but only one can be activated at a time. So you could click once for the first listed spell, then again for the second. While it can't do them both at once, clicking twice in the same spot is (usually) a lot faster than clicking two different buttons.

Also, I'm not sure how FD works, but spells like Presence of Mind CAN be macro'd as they don't set off the global cooldown. You just have to use /script SpellStopCasting() between spell commands. So, once every three minutes, I can fire off Presence of Mind and a fireball in the same click.

You can have one global-cooldown-triggering spell/ability/item-use per keypress. Spells/abilities/items that don't trigger the global cooldown can be chained together in one keypress, and you can have multiple spells/abilities/items that _do_ trigger the global cooldown triggered by the same macro, but you have to track state in it somehow, and invoke each one with a seperate keypress (you can often do this by tracking cooldowns, or whatever - ie cast one thing if it isn't on cooldown, and another if the first thing is).

Oh, and I was speaking to Sith on Ventrilo with Sciron as well when said legs dropped off Bloodlord Mandokir. The nice healing cape dropped as well, which I actually pointed out to Sith telling him he needed. Then he goes and gets greedy  <_<

I dont mind not getting the legs that much, its just the way it all happened was a bit of a low blow.

Loot. Breaking up friends and guilds since November 2004. :)

I take it there was no Druid in the group who wanted the pants?

It depends on if an ability has a cooldown.

i.e. PoM has a cool down so a macro that essentially does the following:

/cast PoM

/cast Fireball

is fine. You just hammer the key twice and it cast pom the first time and fireball the second

Or do what I do...

/cast Presence of Mind

/script SpellStopCasting();

/cast Fireball

One keypress. No problem. :)

my mage is better than your mage!

interesting.

I was looking how to do something like this a while back when I first got nature's swiftness but gave up.

So I could try:

/cast Nature's Swiftness

/script SpellStopCasting();

/target Cowfields

/cast HealingTouch Rankwhateveristhehighest

Essentially that insta-heals me for just over 2200 odd, which is good for those oh-shit moments. I had to do it with a two button thing.

This macro stuff is very interesting. Does anyone know how I would set up macros for the following two senarios, assuming that I can?

Gouge, Bandage self

Backstab, swap main hand weapon for one in backpack. (I realise that there is a cooldown on swapped weapons of one second I believe.)

I'm no expert with WoW macros, but I had a bit of time spare so I looked these up.

Firstly, the oh-shit macro. If you realise you need a heal mid-cast this should cancel your casting spell, activate NS, target you and heal you (will auto-select the highest spell rank if none is specified), then re-target your mob so you can carry on blasting it.

/script SpellStopCasting();

/cast Nature's Swiftness

/script SpellStopCasting();

/target Cowfields

/cast Healing Touch

/script TargetLastEnemy();

Secondly, the gouge and bandage macro.

/cast Gouge

/script SpellStopCasting();

/script UseContainerItem(x,y)

Thirdly, backstab and swap weapon.

/cast Backstab

/script SpellStopCasting();

/PickupContainerItem(x,y);

/PickupInventoryItem(16);

You know how to number your bag slots? [4][3][2][1][0] and then inside the bag [1] is the top left slot, numbered L-R on each row. (0,16) would be the bottom-right slot in your main backpack, for instance.

And, last note of warning, you must use the caps as written, otherwise WoW won't recognise the command.

Just venting frustrations here. :D

Is that pile of ^&*%$ they call Eartern ring down again? It won't show up on my server list and the official site seems to be down again. I was supposed to be in MC 25 minuts ago.

As much time as I've put into Adephalon I'm just about ready to drop ER and move to the dark side.

Any classes in particular needed on the VC server?
