You two lovebirds care to enlighten the rest of us as to what the Hell you're on about?

I've had to hear them moaning all night ;)

On a good note! I Solo'd Baron Charr who apparntly is a 10 man raid target!!

he dropped 2 essence of fires, 3 elemental fires, some heart of fires and a crappy green, an alliance that was there was applauding me :D

Basically some leather legs dropped that had nice stats and +healing, and a ffa was announced, and so I rolled a 99. Thinking I won them, I was very pleased.

Then they appeared in Siths backpack ;)

Where were his little friends through all this? Whenever I've seen him wandering about, he's always got 3 or 4 bodyguards following him around...anyway, nice one, though shame he doesn't drop anything interesting.

While you're there, King Mosh for an encore?

king mosh?!

Yeah he did have 5 bodyguards but no worries ;)

I can feel the frustration when you've put a lot of time into something for what may be considered no true in game gain.

But in many ways that's Warcraft for you isn't it, people obsessed by stats, money, epix, damage done, healing done. Often it all obscures the pure pleasures of the game which should be the most important thing (puctuated by the joy of getting new gear).

If you get it all too quickly you will get bored of your own gear.

If you go to a place 10 times in the hope something you want drops and you see it go to someone else over and over then it can be horrible.

When people spread the love and help each other in wow it is the best thing ever. But when people are greedy because they can it is awful.

Why does everyone get in a bad mood because of loots? Maybe I'm just an unselfish person, but I've never ever cared about what loots I have.

My motto for WoW is "I'd like to have, but I don't need to have".

I agree. I do instances that offer me no gain in terms of xp nor drops.. why cause I love killing things in a little group and having a bloody good laugth in the process

A few from amazing squad took on sunken temple last night and just seeing a couple of dragons flying around got me more excited than anything I have ever picked up. (except for ape sinew that took about 200 kills to get!)

Once I hit 60 then I will probably change my mind...

It's all the tactics you have to develop to defeat the Hunter Epic Demons - as if we weren't uber enough solo before, once you've mastered those you're even more likely to be able to solo mad tasks.

The Jump/Shoot/Kite tactic required to defeat Artorius (and usable on others) is something you'd never consider in the run to 60 (at least I don't know anyone who did) - but once you realise it's doable, any melee/short range attack target is killable ;)

To explain - you put Aspect of the Cheetah (fast running) on - shoot something and then turn and run away. When a Sting or Arcane Shot is ready, you jump, turn, shoot (these are doable when moving y'see) and then turn back before you land. With a bit of practice you can keep going indefinately - well, until you run out of mana anyway.

My 2nd attempt I pulled an Ogre from Frostsaber Rock to the roundabout near Everlook - it didn'y scratch me once :(

It borders on cheating - except that without it there's no way to deal with a demon who will put a 450/tick Dot on you the moment you're inside 30yds of him - with no pet and no external help allowed - no healing etc. etc. :D

On the topic of loot, excitement and getting annoyed if you get nothing - there's definately a few different approaches to WoW going on here.

I seldom look at loot tables the first few times I go anywhere - to do so would be to spoil that experience - and I'm playing the game for these experiences after-all...

However, once I've been a few times, a peek at the loot tables usually confirms that the staggering amount of LEATHER which has been dropping isn't the ONLY thing in there ;)

As a serious aside here - if the rate of Rogue/Druid drops in MC doesn't abate soon, Chimaera will be disenchanting the fcuking stuff - and LBRS never drops anything BUT Leather for me :D

If you're dead-set on being the most uber person there is then you have to grind the game - at which point I see no reason to complain about wasted trips because you will have FAR more of those than you will rewarding ones frankly.

It's worth bearing in mind, that getting all this kit should be for a REASON - why do you want all the gear if all you're going to do is wear it whilst whinging about not getting more gear!?

After 5-6 months in game my first MC was Sunday - it was genuinely 'new' to me being in a 40 man raid in somewhere as nasty - the sound of all the buffs hammering in my ears as the tank targets the first giant etc. etc. was brilliant - and it'll be a few trips before it pales.

On the flipside tho - unlike Iza, who I believe plays this game almost ENTIRELY for it's social aspect (and there's nothing wrong with that!) - I have to see some progress somewhere - which is where the alts come in.

A coupla levels on a nooby character with different skills and abilities can be as rewarding and enjoyable as a high drop MC run for me.

Horses for courses - but I would like a few more things to do at 60 other than grind gear and rep - which is why I run people thru instances and help in other ways - just to get USE from my gear :(

You need to PvP man!

Nothing is more rewarding than popping out of a stealth amongst a 5 man flag defence group, killing their flag carrier in 8 seconds of instant attacks and returning the flag before being set upon... and then the *bing* of your side scoring. It's ace!

On the subject of this:

It's worth bearing in mind, that getting all this kit should be for a REASON - why do you want all the gear if all you're going to do is wear it whilst whinging about not getting more gear!?

That's exactly why high level PvE doesnt appeal. Dont get me wrong, I'd love to do all the high level instances, instances are my fave part of the PvE game, but doing them 100 times to get better gear... to do them more... seems slightly circular. To get better gear to kill FUCKING HUNTERS in Battlegrounds though... makes it all worthwhile ;)

And on the subject of Hunter cheese.... jumpshotting IS an annoyingly twitch based skill... but I can't complain too much (jumpshotting gouge ftw)... but it's Feign Death abuse to lay traps that drives me crazy.

In BGs yesterday I came near this hunter. 1 second later I was encased in a block of ice.

He obviously had track hidden on (fair enough- how well does this work nowadays? Back in the day, it used to not show up rogues who you couldn't already 'see' through their stealth) or a hunch, so he flares...

Except he obviously has a macro for Flare -> Feign -> Ice Trap (traps have a way too big trigger radius too). Well logically, you can only lay traps out of combat, so isnt using feign an exploit of sorts?

Even if not, putting in a macro = teh cheese.

And there are a couple of easy solutions:

- put a global cooldown on feign death

- stop feign marking you as immediately out of combat. Vanish does this... but has a reagent and 5 min vs 30 sec cooldown !

- make traps only trigger if someone actually steps ON them, not near them.

Rant over B)

This happened to me at TM last night as it happens, just about to Ambush somebody in the middle of a big raid group . I was a mile away from the trap too. Or at least I thought I was.

It's still my absolute favourite thing to do though, walk right into the middle of 30 - 40 attackers all bunched up for protection. Ambush somebody, a couple more hits and a couple of seconds later when they die run out through the middle of the rest of them. Usually nobody else pick's you up until you are safe. It's great.

I would also like to know how well track hidden works. Hunters seem to have become real pains for Rogues in PVP (Well me anyway) I'm sure they never used to be.

Hunters are the anti-rogue, and I'm willing to accept that:

Flare, Track Hidden, Pets, Hunters FUCKING Mark, Concussion Shot, Scatter Shot, etc. *gragggh*

But the feign death thing takes it too far, IMO.

The fact that I can't stealth (to that party) for 2 full minutes when hunters mark'd is just *crazy*.

But yes, I have a level 35 Hunter (played when the game was first released) and:

Traps seem to have around an 8yd trigger radius. It's certainly very generous.

Back then, at least, track hidden just showed blips on the mini-map for people who you could detect through stealth anyway. I gather it has been improved but I'm not sure by how much...

Re: the other thing - it is ace, but it is hard to get away. I usually have a Mark, DoT, or Faerie Fire on me within a second. I usually get my kill, but don't often get away!

Oh I've died a lot doing it, but at TM at least it's a great way of breaking up that stalemate that you get sometimes. Lines of ranged firing at each other for what seems like forever. In the incident last night although I died pretty quickly once discovered, quite a few of the Alliance took their eyes off the rest of the Horde to get a hit in on me. Resulting in the raid group becoming a a bit of mess as Horde warriors saw the opportunity to close the distance and charged. My death was not in vain!

Unlike the rest of the fight where I got cheaply killed by everything going, Gnomes were bringing their children along to 'Kick the funny Rogue in the shins'

Heh, yeah. For some reason people have an irrational hatred of rogues (who'da thunk it! Heh) - so I can pull 3 or 4 defenders alone in WSG.

Sap one, CS another, run, gouge the pursuer and leave three people fuming. I can usually get out of combat and stealth too :(

Oh, and I was speaking to Sith on Ventrilo with Sciron as well when said legs dropped off Bloodlord Mandokir. The nice healing cape dropped as well, which I actually pointed out to Sith telling him he needed. Then he goes and gets greedy

I dont mind not getting the legs that much, its just the way it all happened was a bit of a low blow.

How the fuck was I being greedy?

I asked for the pants and the loot master gave them to me do dont blame me.

As for the cape I needed that too too so I rolled, its not greedy to roll on 2 items from the same boss. if u need u need simple as that.
