Right, so my subscription expires on the 15th and ATM, it won't be renewed. We'll see how it pans out I guess.

Could be the end for me though...for now at least.  :)

After 6+ months in WoW - and having considered quitting a few times - I've finally come to the same realisation that I came to in my previous MMOGs - although why I have to work this out every time I start playing one I've no idea :P

End of the day, the quality of your WoW playtime comes down to the people you're playing it with - it's nothing to do with the game itself (well, not a lot).

WoW pulls a bit of a fast-one in this respect - in that it's quite possible to sneak thru a lot of it without actually forming any good groups/friendships/getting into a good guild - but that all goes out-the-window at Level 60 of course.

Once you're there, there's only 2 options really

1 ) start another char and sneak through it again

2 ) adopt the MMOG mindset and sign up with a solid guild for those lovely 2+ hours instance runs and loot galore!!

The latter requires a few sacrifices of course - you have to go with what the others want to do more than what you do yourself and you have to play when the others are playing which isn't always as easy as it sounds.

If you're not willing to do things which will result in little or no reward for you personally - it's certainly game-over time tho.

You can, of course, do 1) when you can't do 2) - which is what most people do it seems :(

I used to think people like stiff were MAD when they said the best bit of the game was after 60 - but I can now see EXACTLY what they mean (taken me 2 runs to 60 and 320+ total levels to see it mind!!) - it's a TOTALLY different game which you have to approach in a totally different way...

Glad ya finally there John. I love my guild at the mo. Everyone helped me get my Hide of the Wild, when there were no ingredients for it on the auction house, and farming for the bits and bobs was starting to annoy. In the end, it only took me about 2 days tops to get it made, and only cost me approximately 50 gold (25g for Bunnybane to make it for me, and 25g mats), compared to the ludicrous 400 gold it sells for on the auction house :P

I try to do what most the other guild members want to do a lot of the time, cos I know they've helped me and will continue to help me if and when I need it.

Btw Sith, Faust was mumbling something about Azuregos last night, so I may go and sneak a look in the Hinterlands before we goto Zul Gurrub.

This is 0.2% droprate and no one could use it! - the shammy won the FFA roll, but he's in my guild and as the only disenchanter i took it! Priest will be gutted!!

It will get disenchanted in the patch - I did put it on (bright pink dress) and dance in Org for abit though  :)

I really do feel sorry for it being such a waste  :( . Still quite funny though!

Yay, Jandice finally decided to give me my Dreadmist Mantle!

So, been playing since Feb and I've just now got my first complete set. :unsure:

Is it any good though?

I never once thought about chasing around after Magisters. In fact I vendored the only piece i ever got, the gloves, earlier.

Ditto! Everyone else had one so I got it, though I'll stick with the SoWS most of the time. Also got a Fire Runed Grimoire and, thanks to a stupendous bit of luck, Sci got a second bite at the +30 Spellpower enchant cherry so my Mageblade is now more powerful than you could possibly imagine. Plus he got a Blastershot Launcher and hasn't wasted any time in blasting the shit out of me with it, damn him.

Nerf hunters.

Bekah got dragged in to pad the numbers of some other guild's run. We can barely get UBRS running atm :unsure:

(although if people remember to USE OUR FUCKING FORUM, we're trying get a ZG run going next weekend...)*

Bit of a wasted day for me, though I did get 2 coins from Zul Gurrub (ooh, big whoop!). Highlight of the day was getting all the way to Wyrmthalak in LBRS with no warrior, priest or other healer other than myself (group was rogue, mage, hunter, and another shaman, as well as myself). We then proceeded to pwn Wyrmthalak ;)

No ascension gems for me though :angry:

Lowlight of the evening was getting a whisper that Skarr was in the arena, so we rushed there and started attacking him, only to be greifed by Alliance members from none other than Shinasu. Lan himself showed up to basically piss us off, and kill the boss themselves :unsure:

Sci then pwned Lan in a duel though :D

:lol: Yeah that arena ganking was not nice, we were halfway through the boss the they jumped in and sheeped our only healer!

And to be fair he beat me about 4 times, but i owned him once, wasn't a stupid duel either 100% serious.

After beating him i logged onto my alliance character and spoke to him for abit, nice guy in the end ;) Oh and i killed someone with the Windseeker wooo!!!

Oh my God, I love it - first Breaksmith, now you, Sci. The more people who omgwftpwn that insufferable little shit Lan, the better. Shove that overrated pigsticker up his odious ass. As for Shinasu and the DM arena, Kaini, and Cowfields' fellow guildie Jimlad, could tell you some delightful stories about those fellows...

Well done on finishing the job in the Lower Spire, guys but try not to end up like those Chinese and Korean guys, eh? The human body needs more than 10 minutes sleep a night, you know!

I'm sure it'll work out. Has been a really quiet patch this week though. :unsure:

I've grouped with Jimlad quite a few times, nice bloke. Still think those 4 Alliance were a bunch of cocks, especially as they all have epics etc and our group didnt (hardly a fair match).

LBRS is just annoying me now. Every time I go I come away with no gems. Starting to grate. Our rogue has to get Wyrmthalak's gem and then he'll have the lot, but everytime we kill Wyrmthalak, he never drops the gem. Our guild needs more people with the key made so we dont have to rely on others to open that goddamn door :)

Plus the stuff that drops is BOE, so in effect its a money drop. I can understand Alliance jumping in to cause hassle, as annoying as it may be.

Yeah, but not much competition is it against people with full epic gear vs people with the odd one or two really.

Anyway, I still need those gems from LBRS, but the way its going I'm tempted to bin it, due to the lack of interest in getting a group going in the first place. No-one seems to want to do LBRS, unless its 5 man for THAT quest :o

Its starting to grate how many times I've done the place, and still not gotten closer to finishing the quest. Always get outrolled or it just doesnt drop ;)
