Also, events like this are completely outnumbered by the times you'll be random-ganked out in the middle of nowhere. For no reason at all.

But then my hatred of 'pvp servers' is well documented, I don't think I need to go over it again :o

Regarding the 15 second stutter issue: It transpires that I did not have service pack 1 installed (I did a reinstall of Vista the other day and forgot). It seems to have eased the problem somewhat, at least enough that i don't really notice it and can play again. My exile didn't last very long at all really...

So I ended up PvP flagged again after doing the Elders of the Horde achievement, and as I rode into Ratchet to fly off to my next destination, a druid and a hunter both try to jump me. Do they not teach kids what happens when you start a fight in mob turf these days? Anyway, I thought I'd have some fun and let these fuckers know the sheer embarrassment of being beaten by a tank, of all things. After a bit of 300-style shield slamming, spell reflecting, the obligatory /violin over their bodies, and then swimming like absolute fuck to get away from the guards, my attitude towards world PvP has improved somewhat. So sorry Eliteshot and sorry Flockra, you just got Jacked.

Well the Lunar achievement is one of the easiest to get. Halloween and Christmas involved other people (hats and brooms and pets from instances) and just more to do in different places generally.

Lunar festival is simply about doing a tour of the world, the only thing that takes time is getting past "Cannot create instance at this time please try later". for the few dungeon elders. You don't even have to kill Omen yourself, you just need to stand in its corpse.

True. I've only got Omen and the dungeon ones left to do now. The only difficult part for me will be getting the groups for the Northrend dungeons as I dont know any healers (I'm not in a big guild - literally a few mates and thats it) and they always seem to be the sticking point when I try pugging it.

We didn't take healers  5 dps and we managed to just zerg heroic gundrak up to eck. Eck was a bit messy but still. We didn't really need healign during the pulls, just a bit of topping up after. Was amazingly quick ;)

We used someones cleared instance, and the tank just pulled the whole room so we could run to the elder. Tank died but we did it.

I got Elder last night, took me all day to get it but I dont have to try and get groups for dungeons now and can do other things instead. Like getting Argent Champion, which I did afterwards :P

Hi,

I've been in Muk since Xmas and am gradually making my way up the levels. In the last week I've been in Outlands where there are lots of Alliance tooling about. The main PVP problem I run into is I get stunned and before I can recover and react I've lost 1/2 of my health and don't really make a dent in the enemy before dying. Is there a way of reducing stunned time or breaking out of it? Am currently level 66 feral druid with pretty decent gear that is a balance of attack power, armour and health.

advice sorely needed :(

the pvp trinket is helpful, 5-2 min cooldown depends which one you buy and will get you out of a stun instantly..

Sadly other than that there is nothing, resilience gear is ok but for lvling and the time it will take you to get it, its totally pointless... just stay aware of your surroundings im afraid is all you can do :( if you get constantly ganked ask guildies to help out, some often will pop over to guard you for a time :(

That post was almost JP worthy, Bo.

Speaking of fucking with people, it's the Lunar festival soon. Hundreds of people will be descending upon Moonglade to kill Omen, set off fireworks and meet an elder. That being the case...

Yeah, unless it's midnight, then for some reason, the only people around moonglade are healers.

I don't think 7 healers and a rogue had much chance, and they need to update the wowhead page - i was looking forward to a quick and easy bash at something with 500k hp, not 5.5 million

Always try to attack them before they attack you. This can make such a difference to some classes it's unreal.

I guess I need to get into the mind set of pre-emptively attacking people. Often because I'm in the middle of something or just in heads-down-leveling mode, I'll avoid PVP entirely. Sometimes even to the extent of not attacking an alliance player who is in combat at the time where I'd have the upper hand... It's especially annoying when I've obviously left someone alone and they don't give me the same courtesy when they stumble across me in the opposite situation later on!

Also, are Death Knights just massively more effective than other classes at the same level? I've noticed in PVP they crush me in seconds, and when grouping in dungeons DKs have consistently far and away the highest DPS/damage total.

Last weekend was awful.

Pretty much everyone was a c***.

Ally's of high level ganking constantly (mainly near instances...where they doing Elders?), trying constantly get a a group for BRD - but then always falling apart due to people being c***s/stupid in playing.

Still...Tynon's now the same level as Tynin

We finally managed to do Sartharion with 3 drakes up (25 man) tonight. Hopefully we'll be giving the reportedly harder 10 man version tonight.

It's one of those frustrating fights where people learn how to avoid lava waves and void zones at different rates and when you're managing to avoid most of them and other people are dying every time, it's quite vexing. Some people were sucking hard. But I think in the end people did finally shape up a bit and it's given me a bit of faith back in our raiding force. Seems like lately a lot of the best players have gone permanently afk leaving a few mongoloids behind. But it's not so bad.

It was fun tanking again. DPS is fun and all but back as a Bear feels like I'm actually making more of a tangible difference to the encounter. I'd gotten a few comments about my threat on drakes being generally better than when we had a warrior doing it.

Diplomatic answer: Berserk gives a much needed crazy burst threat lead so that DPS can truly go nuts as the dps requirement is that high, thus a bear has that advantage over a warrior. Less Diplomatic answer: having your tank actually be awake gives a good threat lead.

Our current set up frustrates me in that we always have a bear and 2 prot warriors, and all 3 are totally uninterested in dpsing. I'd much rather have only 2 perma-tanks so that when a fight actually needs a 3rd I will gladly pay the 50g in a second to do it. It's just that generally that's never needed with the group we end up taking.
