Yeah admittedly, the hunter FR mail is pretty poor as other than the sockets its just the huge amount of stam and FR. I've seen a few wearing it as "normal" gear and it's just silly. I have a friend who is a tank and he wears part of the plate one for the stam, but wants to upgrade to something as quick as he can.

Lets face it, some people just see the colour purple and want it. There is a player on my server who over the weekend was trying to get groups to go to Ony, MC, and BWL, despite being lvl 56. Which is quite funny when they advertise it in trade saying over level 75s only. Somehow they got a group, and by the sound of it she (was called huntwoman - you never know in this game though) ninja'd stuff that she wanted from their and when called out in city chat said she "is making a level 60 twink". Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but dont the 60's go in the 60-69 bracket, where she'd get destroyed by 69's in BC gear? Also I checked her gear out. And while every piece was obviously expensive (all but a few were drops - most were the kind of thing that sell on the AH for a lot) they were all completely rubbish for a hunter (save a few pieces). 2 blue swords that have no stats and melee procs, the blue dragonscale gear (caster stuff), stuff with strength on. I think at her level I had about 300 more attack power and about 5% more crit. Kinda silly, and probably very expensive.

60 'twink' would indeed go into the 60-69 bracket. Silly fool tbh. 59 twink would be the best alternative but of course none of those outdated epics she strived for would 'fit'. 69 was a lovely twinking braket - everyone had decent skills but fuck all resilience which in my opinion was the worst thing ever added to the game.

You can AV in the 51-60 bracket as a twink I believe, they are quite common.

I'm sort of sporadically working on this now actually, and I think I was looking at that link the other day (can't check just now) - it's pretty good.

I'm on 2810 in total; I'm 14 quests short of the Kalimdor achievement, and two short of completing Outland. Still got a long way to go in Northrend though - most of Borean Tundra and Zul'drak, half of Storm Peaks and a couple of dozen in Icecrown. I keep getting side-tracked by dailies and looking for rare spawns, and my strange compulsion to trawl the AH for cheap Runecloth for Silvermoon Exalted.

Axtor completed the Loremaster achievement a few weeks ago; the tabard is really cute.

I started going for Loremaster, but seriously fuck that. I've got about 350 quests left to do in Kalimdor, and even with a swift mount they're still annoying to do. I honestly can't imagine doing them on foot.

The Seeker and the Loremaster weren't hardcore fuck yeah bring it on enough for me - I'm currently trying to complete every possible questline I can (bar the Cenarion and Argent Dawn repeatable warrant ones, which are lame beyond belief and don't really go anywhere interesting). Finally got Nefarian's head the other day, got the red sceptre shard a while back (though I need to speak with a GM about getting it returned after a bag space clear out), just need the Twilight Corruptor (he's weak but has some really annoying abilities and too much health to solo) and Eranikus for the green one, and Dr Weavil, a metric shitload of arcanite and possibly frickin' elementium for the blue.

Once that's done, all that leaves is just the Tier 0.5 line, Ossarian and C'Thun's hand-ins, Kael's Verdant Sphere, the Shadowmoon demonbane weapon and the Shartuul thing in Blade's Edge. The only thing missing after that will be Atiesh and Kel'Thuzad's phylactery but hey ho.

I did that 25 man heroic in wintergrasp, it was wank and everyone was like "ooh err that was awful, DPS sucked!" Yeah but we downed him and not everyone has time to raid every night to get gear you bellends.

I can only speak about the 10-man version of the Vault since I haven't done the 25-man, but if your group actually hits the enrage timer, something is very wrong.

The 25 man does have a higher DPS requirement, but I've done it with pugs before where we had mages doing 800 DPS.

I used to do that at level 70 while resto spec...

I might be sticking my neck out a bit here, but is anyone else slightly bored of the game already? My Death Knight is 80 and has some awesome gear but otherwise sits around waiting for the next raid. PVP is broken and shit. I've tried getting my Rogue (71) and Warrior (72) to 80 but got incredibly bored within 30 mins or so as, despite being cool in their own rights, they aren't as cool as my Death Knight. Things will happen and I'll go 'well my DK could have done that easy' etc.

Ho-hum.

Im not bored yet but given how easy the game is right now i can see myself getting bored much quicker than i did at 60 or 70. The game providing a challenge is what keeps it fresh and there really isnt anything that challenging in it right now. If you exclude the stupid OCD acheivements that is.

Death Knights seem horrible.

All of those ones I've played with have seemed horribly unbalanced (level 55-60) and have all been dicks. Generally fucking things up for everyone else (too much uncontained agro), but they can surivive/win while everyone else suffers

I'm not sure what I feel about the game at the minute. I've got 2 80s who I rarely log into because I don't really want to get dragged into a raid (more to do with who I raid with than anything else unfortunately). I'd like to have a go at healing but not sure I can face levelling another character. I do have a shaman at 73 but after playing a well geared mage, levelling him as resto is beyond painful. I'd spec him enhancement if I thought I was going to rush him to 80 but until then I'd prefer to stay as is so I can heal for friends alts when I do log in. The game would be a lot better if it had a gnome class capable of healing

I fear I'm a bit bored of it at the moment too.

I've got my mage to 80, kitted out with some decent gear from Naxx and badges, done Heroics to the point of having over a hundred badges and nothing to buy with them. Seems too soon to be leveling another job to 80, though my DK is kinda fun (really cant be arsed to level the drood though).

So, log on, dailies and farm a little while I wait to see if anythings happening, and then log off. Ho hum. Maybe I just played a bit too much over Christmas

I'm not really burning through it, but as a lifelong casual, i'm finding it easier to get decent gear now, I love Wintergrasp and Strand of the Ancients as far as PvP goes, but I also love the former because of the amount of Titanium it chucks at me

I could never, ever see myself work my way up with a new character, though. Got bored SHITLESS as soon as I got my DK up to Zangermarsh.

That would be awesome, and blizz love taking money so it maybe will come.

However I have not heard anything about it and it would make a lot of content redundant (though it is just rushed through anyway now)

There are a shocking number of shit DKs around, this much is true.

See that's why I'm thinking of starting an Alt-Mage pronto (I've always liked ranged/AoE damages, as well as buffers/healers so Mage/Priest combo is good).

The entire game is still new, but if I wait until 80 to start a Mage, then likely the early content will seem stale.

Now if only I wanted to be a race other than Blood Elf

I'm really enjoying WoW at the moment, because its a lot less serious nowadays. We haven't rushed into anything, so we still have loads to do as a guild, and when we do it we have a laugh. We did Naxx properly for the first time on Sunday, and cleared the Spider wing first go, including a one shot of Maexxena, and considering we were wiping on trash there two weeks before it was really good. Now I don't feel a compulsion to min-max my character for raiding so much, and just bimble about chatting its a lot more fun. Sing on vent and arguments about marmite during trash is the only way to raid now

yeah, our own small guild has started naxx proper, and I think I can safely say we're doing quite well. Patchwerk has us stumped at the moment, but there's plenty of other stuff we could be doing to gear up for that. I've also seen OS and Halls of whatever in PUGs and they've been pretty successful as well, which is nice, with my getting my first T(insert number here) piece ever! haven't done too many heroics, but that's no biggie, really.

Just waiting on our BS to be able to make Titansteel Guardian though - tsk!

I don't have any enthusiasm for PvP, pugs or levelling alts at the moment but I am really enjoying heroic and raids. So as long as there's some guildies to go kill things with I'm really enjoying wow. Of course when there's not, is when I go do Hodir/Ebon Blade dailies and pray a guild healer/tank logs on before I go insane.

Not sure why PvP hasn't interested me at all at the moment. I've not even ventured into Strands of the Ancients. Possibly it's just being elemental is putting me off...

Here's why Strand of the ancients and Wintergrasp are good - VEHICLES

Although Wintergrasp battles do seem to take some inevitable ebb and flow about them - I've only been in a couple of defence battles that have been won - defending the closest vehicle depots, or whatever the fuck they're called invariably allows the opposition to gain just enough HKs to start using catapults. still, it's always good when you've a minute on the clock and the shitbags have gotten inside.

No, I'm a 'vehicles add nothing but a distraction to the game, there are far too many of them at any given point and they require zero skill to use or take down and are thus pointless' kind of guy

Hypothetically.

I don't think it really matters now. It used to be Arcane up to 11 but since evocation became non-talented I don't think it's very easy to make a bad choice. Any talents that make it harder for mobs to reach you, prevent casting pushback and reduce mana cost will be good.
