Why are there so many colours of everything? 25 man, 10 man and....? I thought that arena gear wasn't going to just be a recolour anymore?

Using it for NPCs, I think. You can already see all the mage colours in the Violet Citadel in Dalaran.

Basic advice early on is to "pull" all the monsters (mob) to you via a ranged spell this way you will find it less likely to get adds. Ideally as a shaman you want to use as many lightning bolts as possible before the mob gets to you then you can start hitting them with your currently equipped weapon. Later on you will either specialise in hitting things in the face with weapons or with magic but for now you will do a bit of both. Don't forget to heal up if you need to and buy some Refreshing Spring Water so you can keep your mana up.

Scorpion boss sounds like the one in the valley of trials. i think you went off in the wrong direction.

Just learn to use www.wowhead.com nad get questhelper addon and also get cartographer addon.

you can get addons from www.wowinterface.com

that should be enough to get you started. If you are only lvl 6 you may want to take advice and join one of the forum guilds as getting in a guild will help you a lot.

The enchanting materials market is crashing! Seems like every enchanter on the server has finally got 440+ and is feeling like selling their mats on for profit. Borean Leather isn't getting any cheaper so buying it to craft and dis makes a measly profit. Christmas really is over.

At least I managed to exploit it for long enough to afford epic flying for my hunter. I was really enjoying having over 10 though, back to being just another working daily-quest stiff I guess :P

In other news I got my authenticator dongle thingy. I push a button, it gives me a number, I log in. It's not really that exciting, but it's nice to feel exploited by blizzard secure.

Yeah but that involves actually playing the game, rather than printing money via buying and selling on the AH :P

True. Have you considered annoying end game raiders and forcing up the potions prices / mats for the potions / recipe for said potions and forcing them to pay silly prices? I paid for an epic flyer very quickly that way. You'll only need about 5k worth of investment, but it's a lot to gamble with if you dont have much.

By annoying end game raiders you mean people like me? :P

I am not complaining really, I'm being a total hypocrite by trying to keep prices high by selling mats, I've always hated that kind of profiteering so really, deep down, I know it's a good thing that the ridiculous enchanting mat prices is dropping.

I actually can't think what I need money for now. Ridiculously overpriced mammoth mounts, maybe, other than that, I still have nearly 7k and that's more than enough to live on. Also I've always personally found the biggest money maker is levelling an alt.

Final Edit: Just as an experiment I managed to sell 5 dragonfin fillet (40 stam and strength food, does need a northern spice to make) for about 70g. That's quite a lot of money for one daily and 5 minutes fishing...it's not very sustainable though. I eat a lot of that food. Still. Who'da thunk fishing could be profitable?

I remember I used to spend 30 minutes each day farming the basilisk near Shattrah. Used to get about 3 stacks of basilisk meat in that time if I was quick enough. Sold for 50g a stack for ages. 150g for 30 minutes work isnt bad.

The materials for enchants are all changing in the next patch which is likely to be this Tuesday I reckon. Dust and essences are down, shards are up.
