So I ground out the last of my 5k for epic flying (and previously cold weather flying). About half way through 77. Pretty chuffed, especially as I put all my Arctic Furs in the guild bank (apart from the sneaky 3 I sold yesterday).

Just a few hundred more and I can buy the flying chicken bones thing.

Also, at 78 I've got 3 tanking upgrades! I fucking love tanking. I tanked some pugs. It was sweet.

When I level my hunter it will be better, I can sell dust and shards and ores. Oh, and I can kill things on my own, too (one handed and blind folded. noobtards ftw).

At one point i went away to get a drink, came back and my pet had killed 7 mobs that had spawned, all at most 2 levels below. I had barely taken any damage. I love my pet.

I had 500g on my 2 year old Shaman which I wasted on Epic mounts for him. So yeah this is from starting off as a Death Knight. Was much easier than I thought. I only have skinning and sent most of the greens I found to the guild enchanter.

I've created an account, and been given by Blizzard a download link for the client (and a streaming client link that didn't work), but that was taking fucking ages. So I cancelled the download, and borrowed the discs from someone. I haven't yet created a character or anything,

You can make hundreds of gold in an evening through plain and simple vanilla grinding. I aren't no expert.

If you complete most quest in all the Northrend zones then you should be close to 5k. I think I started Wrath with about 1k gold and I'm now at 6k. I've got the quest achievement for each zone except Zul'Drak which I'm a couple off. I haven't sold anything on the AH or sold tradeskill stuff to anyone (in fact I've given away a lot and probably spent at least 500g on training etc.) and all BoEs I've had disenchanted and have just been storing or using the mats. I've hardly done any dailies either (scribe so no need for Sons of Hodir). I also wasted ~900g on that bloody Dalaran Intellect scam (guess it'll teach me to read tooltips more carefully in future).

You can even let other people do all the work for you. Things like gems, leather leg patches, belt buckles and enchantment reagents are going to start rising now that Arena Season 5 has started. Keep an eye out for any stuff that people have put up for stupidly low amounts and relist it once demand starts to rise. I picked up a bunch of Abyss Crystals for 150G each today; give it a fortnight or so for people to start getting the epic PvP gear, and they'll want enchants for it. And I'll be there to gouge fuck out of them.

As far as I know it started as soon as your account's created. The streaming client link worked really well for me. About 5 minutes intial download and then about 5 minutes when loading starting areas.

Unless you've getting WOTLK discs too, it's gonna be ages (defo don't use Blizzard Downloader - find a mirror!)

Yey! I wont be the only n00b!

I really quite enjoyed this last night - back to staying questing in one zone (Hillsbrad?). Got some people doing the same quest chain - lots of fun. Hadn't played for 2 days so loads of "double xp" which got me to 25 . Lots on "in zone" story and development, growth. My Wand still kicks arse . I still don't see why Mind Flay was worth getting Really enjoyed it for the 2 hours played. Getting more used to Undetcity too

It was still annoying running slowly back and fro....to quest givers. Also I left the zone to try to go find the Christmas content...then I got annoyed

Nah, I don't fancy any large scale operations. Small time stuff like getting a friend to disenchant certain craftable greens into dust for ???????? PROFIT and splitting the winnings is enough for me.

The same price for all three. That's going to be at least 500 gold of pure profit once the prices go back up.

The very first rank of Mind Flay is pretty pish IIRC as you get higher ranks it gets much better and will be your main source of damage come 40+.

I've got the WoW, BC, and WOTLK discs, borrowed here. Which do I need to install to use the 10 day trial? I've also downloaded the 3.0.1->3.0.2. and 3.0.2-> 3.0.3 patches, ready to use.

The streaming client crashes for me. There's a message on the screen that says "PLay Game" that says something incomprehensible how it won't work because of some update.

I don't think I'm going to be creating my character on the rllmuk server. "Auzuremyst" is the one for me, I'm told.

Converting them into dust and essence might be worth something, I don't need the mats anymore for levelling, I finally hit 440. I just need a few dream shards (easy, a few instances) to buy more patterns but the hard part is over.

Leatherworking stuck at about 420-something. But fuck that, I can enchant my gear with it, not sure I care to make anything else with it, I can carry on levelling when I finally level my skinning hunter. Maybe the polar set though, the stamina on that is insane.

420-435 i got by making and selling the pvp hunter gear. The mats aren't too bad, and they sell pretty well. I am at 438 leatherworking now, and I'm getting skill ups from the epic mail frost resist gear. Buy the mats for about 200-250, sell on for 350-400g. Might go for more, but I just want to sell and not make a loss rather than mucho profit like Jack. The first one I put on sold to a guy who relisted and jacked (no pun intended) the price up. It was still on there last I looked. The others have sold fine though.

Although, taking a leaf out of yoru book, i spent 5 minutes hitting moonkin in darkshore for their eggs, started a small homemade gingerbread factory and am now enjoying the 5g that people are paying me for stacks of 5

There should be a change realm button on the character select screen, click that and then choose where you want to go.

Your character will always be on the same realm, but you can pay a one-off fee to move characters to a different realm.

I finished the Hillsbrad Quest Chains (Actually got 1 left - but it's Red and got a nasty boss )

I'm only level 26/27- any suggestions on which zone to try (similar to Hillsbrad please! Quests all in one zone, flight path to main city etc etc) next I was thinking of Ashenvale?

Could try Duskwood if you haven't done anything there. It might be slightly lower level than you want (although wowhead has it as the same level range as Ashenvale). This is 1 problem with the old world, there isn't an obvious levelling path (and it used to be worse when you needed more xp to level).
