As for showing off your most recent drops, its something I do and I'll assume that Duncan's comment is a dig at me. Well I'm truly sorry and I won't bother again. I love it when people show me new shit they've got, whatever it is. If I for one second thought that it came across as some arrogant boasting, I would never ever bother. When Ulala links me his new slippers or whatever, the last thing I think is "fuck! another epic for him the cunt". Its a real shame other people apparently feel this way.

Well, I'm sorry, but that's the only time I ever hear from you any more unless you need help farming something in BRD or wherever. What I would LOVE to hear one day is something like, 'hey, you got some stuff to be doing in Strat or somewhere?' bceause I gave up asking you lot for help a long time ago.

Of course I could be doing the stuff you're doing now if I was a bit more reliably on at the moment, and that's noone's fault but my own, but I'm feeling more detached from the game all teh time, and having ace stuff from some instance I've only ever looked at linked to ain't helping matters. believe me when I say it's not jealousy, it's mroe sadness.

Having not slept on Monday night I thought I'd sleep like a baby last night. So I got into bed at 4am, when the servers went down and within a bit was asleep. When I awoke I was shocked, I hadn't slept all that long at all, in fact it was still dark. Odd.

Then I realised I'd slept that long, through 5 alarms set for around midday and that it's now 4:30 in the afternoon.

Yet I was confused yet further when I tried to log in to WoW, to find the maintenance message still there, and TVS not up. At this point I had to phone the speaking clock to check what the actual time was to ensure someone hadn't changed all my clocks.

Oh, and this is WoW related because it's the games fault I sleep so little and that I've become nigh on nocturnal.

I don't really have much of a problem with "club dimwit" - tho it may sound like it.

My worst experiences are already documented here (blackcraft and terrorbeast) - but I've spoken with a great many people who simply won't bother with people who aren't guilded or known to them.

The few raids I've attended with Chimaera have always brought up the issue of non-guild members attending and someone had always said they'd rather they didn't come.

I think most people will have run with at least 1 ninjalooter (A Band Apart even had one of it's own recently - stand up whoever you are, Cappuccino) but even the people who always want their quest done first, think their need for an item is greater, roll on BoP items repeatedly etc. etc. can be a major downer - and so people avoid taking the risk when the work is harder/rewards are greater!

As for Sith's repeated attempts to find out what I think he underestimates - I think he underestimates the chances I'll tell him

Bullshit - you're never on. When I'm on I'm usually logged on to do something, like go raid or whatever, but not always. I've invited Ryan to ZG 3 times at least, and Sciron at least once, and it would be you if you were ever around.

How is showing you stuff "not helping matters?!", jesus christ get over yourself. Sith linked me his Aurastone Hammer, which our guild has never seen in months of MC, yet I was still damned excited for him. I hardly ever get new stuff so its still great for me and excuse me for being excited. I can't raid half as often as most people so I have to wait that much longer. I (wrongly) assumed as a Shaman you'd be able to appreciate it too.

On a more positive note, how do you enjoy the PvP? Because the shoulders from AB are the best in the game pretty much, and they look cool. Getting them would take a long long time, but can be acheived solo.

By the way, I've never said "What have you got then?" after showing something.

You could pick up all the stuff I have in one lucky MC run.

SithlordX underestimates how 'connected' SRUlala truly is within WoW - but then SithlordX underestimates many things IME

Pompey/Sciron was surprised that I'd been invited to a guild with 'green armour' - and has told me more than once that I'm "nowhere near ready for MC".  When I brought this up with the Chims their attitude was

"we'd rather have a smart player who listens and plays his part in crap gear - than a know-all in blues"

We'll see if they're mad on Sunday night then - as I'd rather do ZG but I work on the ZG raid nights at the mo so it's MC or bust.

John stop making things up please, i never said anything about your guild, and i didn't use those words either. I think i said "No offence - but I don't you are ready for MC with all greens and no Fire resistance, but hey what do i know"

More along those lines. Maybe the only reason i said this was because i spent at least a month in Strat/Scholo getting gear ready for MC, and so you could understand if it's annoying when someone hits 60 and is straight in MC!

As for what Chims said, people in Blues aren't know it alls, and they have more experiance in raiding then people in blues most of the time, this is because they have done alot to get them. You keep emntioning what a great guild are so all the best.

I'll be more careful what i say to you in-game next time John ;)

I had an argument in a laundrette once. It ended in tears. A new proverb was born that day: "Never fuck with people who look after your clothes."

Not as catchy or popular as some, but i like to think i'm contributing to the human race.

Chimera seem like a great bunch. Some of them are exploiting the honor system, but that doesn't affect me and I can't say I blame them.

Fire res stuff is pretty important for a warrior. What character are you taking into MC? Although most of MC doesn't really require it at all.

By the time you get to geddon and Rag you should have equipped yourself well enough, makes it a lot easier for healers if you're taking only 500 damage from lava splashes than 2000.

I didn't mean to start an argument or point any fingers, I was just using examples of things people had said.

Pompey - you DID say that you were surprised I got an invite to a raid group with my armour/equipment - and you DID say that I wasn't ready for MC.

I'm not suggesting you're wrong either - I joined Chimaera because many people I know praised them highly and so far I've not been disappointed - they are people who seem to play as I do and I hope I can help.

I may well not be ready for MC and I know from previous guilds I've talked to (mostly as Kerrang) that they look for people who've raided and loaded up their gear to a decent level before they'll even consider them - let alone grant them a place in the actual raids.

I wasn't suggesting that everyone in blues is an idiot either - and nor was the person who made the comment originally - all they (and I) am suggesting is that it's more important that you know your part and pay attention to what's going on, than it is to be equipped to the teeth (unless you're a tank perhaps ^_^...

Especially as a Hunter - I'd never really intended to do it (started Vurt as a solo thing) and it's hard getting away from the soloing/Warrior mentality.

Standing out of harms way and blasting away on demand - it almost feels like cheating - still, I've protection-specced Kerrang now and he's keen to get a kicking if anyone needs a tank - it's time I got back on the sharp end of the fight :(

Just out of curiousity - I know even a bit of Fire Res makes a biggish difference - atleast in PVE.

My pet has just Level 2 Fire Resist and against NPC Mages and 'exploding' Ghouls he barely takes damage when they knock chunks of me if I catch aggro - so I guess it's time I made friends with a Black Dragonscale Leatherworker? ^_^

Reading through this thread, it's possible that there's 1 skill which some people have "levelled up" more than others - and I'm definately in the 'less than others' category at times - and that's the social interaction the (end!) game requires.

As I said - and stiff reinforced - how you get on with people, build relationships and make friends in the game is often MORE important than what gear you have...

I'll admit that I've struggled post 60 because I've never been able to get into teams going to the places I wanted to go. It's only when I said "ah fcuk it" and decided to go wherever the others were headed, that I started to actually ENJOY it - well, most of the time.

This is where the 'big guild' and guild-only group aspect comes in - you're more likely to be asked to go places when you're in a guild and it makes every drop more rewarding because someone in YOUR guild benefits - even if you don't directly.

I had a HORRIFIC time in DM West earlier today trying to farm Tendris with a pick-up group - took me over an hour to get it together and in the next 90 mins we managed to kill tendris only twice and I watched a couple of wipes from people failing to sneak past the treants or simply being creamed by the ghost elf things...

Nevertheless I came out with the Warlock 'book' which is going to the guild bank - I'm sure someone will benefit - without that aspect tho it would have been a massive waste of time - apart from me now knowing that you only do DM West with a solid group ^_^

Black Dragonscale doesn't have all that much FR on it but its certainly a great start point for MC, especially as the stats are not gimped for hunters.

There's a wicked hunter in my guild that can craft all 4 pieces, if you supply the mats (obviously getting the core stuff for boots is not easy for you atm but your guild will get them very soon) I can get them made for you.

Its funny - my role in the Rag fight is to stand with the melee on rogue island, so my FR probably needs to be a lot higher than it is. With any luck I'll get the Fiery chain shoulders and belt soon. I got an Onyxia Scale cloak finally too, and it looks divine!

You will get the 15FR ring after doing a few MC runs too, so make sure you've got the pre quests from Duke Hydraxis done.

I check the AH a fair bit for +resist rings, I have 2xFrost 2xShadow 1xNature 1xFire (thanks Kaini!) and 1xArcane. The frost were immensely useful against Azuregos. If you are lucky you might find a FR ring for cheap too. Get rep with Argent Dawn and you'll be able to put +5 on shoulders too. A cloak with +7Fr enchant is a nice little boost and if you farm incedius in BRD for a bit you should pick up bracers in a night or 2.

Good luck!

I make it 65 FR with the full set bonus - which isn't brilliant, but as you say it's not a total Hunter-gimping set and it doesn't look bad either ^_^

I have a hankering for the Bloodsoul set for general use - but finding someone with the skill and the rep - as well as some of the mats - won't be a cakewalk.

Beaststalker looks horrific IMO - and the Giantstalker shoulders are just silly.

That said, Chimaeras MT is a Tauren with the Wrath Headpiece and it's hilarious - looks like he's smashed his head through a steel door :(

I have the Bloodsoul gloves, they rock. I'm gonna pick up the rest of the set as we get the rep. Souldarite/Bloodvine is the killer. I went on 5 or so ZG runs before I won a Blood Scythe, and I've herbed 5 plants and got 0 bloodvine.

I imagine you'll see some of both on the AH sooner or later though.

I got the Cloak of the Cosmos today from DM West before going to Molten Core. Well chuffed, as the priest in the group graciously allowed me to have it. Thanks Radnja :)

I also got a Mindtap Talisman from DM West after MC which I've passed on about 4 or more times so a priest or druid could have it.

The best bit tho was in MC, and I know I'll be flamed for posting what I got, as people have already done so in game, some even in my guild (though most of my guild knows why I wanted it, and agreed I should have it). I had the most DKP, so I decided to get it.

I got the [staff of Dominance]

Well pleased.

Warlock/Mage/Priest/Druid weapon to be honest.

Hmm, I'm not disputing that, but the fact that a mage and a warlock cant heal, and a priest should be going for Benediction, means that a druid or a resto/elemental shaman probably get the most out of it.

I'm resto Specced btw, and will use it to heal. I'm just wondering what enchant to put on it. Probably the +healing one, though I am tempted with +Spirit.

SOD is great for any caster true, although why a priest would want it when Benediction is so easy to get now I don't know.

However as Ulala will tell you Mages and Warlocks can equip the Mageblade. The mageblade is a better option imo as you get alot of versatility from using an offhand. I have 3 offhands ready for when I get my Mageblade, 1 damage, 1 for stats and 1 for resists. I can swap and change them as needed and still have the damage from the Mageblade

SoD seems to be a much more common drop than the Mageblade though, at least for us anyway. We've had 3 SoD, 2 went to Druids and 1 to a 'Lock where as we've only had 1 mageblade so far. If another doesn't drop soon I could be tempted to bid on a SoD :)

Same here, it's all about the versatility. At the moment, I switch between [Penelope's Rose], [umbral Crystal]/[shard of the Green Flame] and [skull of Burning Shadows]. Getting a [Fire Runed Grimoire] or [Jin'do's Bag of Whammies] is my current aim, they'll cover everything but the resists.

But congratulations, Khaz, it's a very nice staff - I just hate the damn thing because it came up 3 times while I was waiting for my Mageblade...

Please may I have a short rant, and maybe some advice for mages:

When someone is about to loot a boss, please don't throw a portal to a capital city RIGHT UNDERNEATH HIS CURSOR THE SECOND HE RIGHT CLICKS so that when that someone tries to loot some shadowcraft pants they don't accidentally suddenly end up in fugging Orgrimmar, and then have to race against time to get back to stratholme to see if he could get to the loot before it disappears.

Grr.

I mean they were only shadowcraft pants, not super amazing for me but since I have the cap already, it was like the one chance I had when there were no other druids and no other rogues so they went to me without having to roll.

I did get back to strat in time though, and the grey leggings, coupled with the purple legwarmers that is my wildheart boots do make me look a bit like The Cow From Fame. It's not quite up there with all these [purple] things, but I was happy.
